How many times are players going to grab Salah and not give away a foul.

Have to wonder what the linesman is looking at in their situations where is 15 yards away

I'd say one of the dangers we're facing is getting a red. Both of our deeper defenders on a red and whereas I don't think ref is doing a bad job, hes very willing to give out cards.

They need to be free to tackle and break runs.

You need to just get used to it and stop moaning about it. It’s going to be much slower tempo under slot waiting and then flick a switch to play it through the lines when gaps open up.

Otherwise you might as well just copy and paste (we’re too slow) into your keyboard and just paste it into every game thread and say no more.

I hope they come out with a bit more about them second half.

Just a bit more speed to the passing please. Just a couple of options for each player to pick from as we are running into alleys where there's no option.

This lot will fold like a cheap deck chair if we get going.

I expect Endo to take some part in the second half because of the yellow card to
    Gravenberch.

    Both were 100% yellow

Szobo got the first. He stopped a forward run by pulling back. Not such an issue.

    Gravenberch was uncontrolled and lucky.

Both their cards were well deserved too.

I know it's early days but, I'm really liking our attacking play under Slot; it's a refreshing and exciting change.

Just need to get used to the 'passing it around in the penalty area whilst under pressure' approach again (Brod did it but 'at all costs')

Been a good half. Plenty of control on the ball, passing it nicely. Drawing Brentford in and then finding the gaps to pass through the lines with 1 or 2 touch passing.

Brentford only rewlly created chances via set pieces.

Overall a good start, nice passing and movement.

    No no no.

This is not the football level. It's too slow. They can play a lot better without expending an ounce more energy.

Speed up the pass, move 5 yards and keep it moving around with one and two touch.

I'll bet you slot says they can do a lot better.

Each time we can be a little quicker we are opening them up far easier.

Where we actually want to be is 10 yards up the park. They are retreating a little as the back 3 or 4 and then playing slow passes thst are giving Brentford the time to then pin us in a bit.

We've actually given it away quite a bit. 57% possession imo is not what slot would.like to hear off the half. They've had it too much and have had a competitive number of passes as well.

Toncontrol the game we want to be higher up and passing it better which means quicker and having 2 options on for the next one.

The idea is to keep it slow and then suddenly jump up a couple of gears to catch the opposition sleeping. Draw them into a false sense of security.

Also noticed; whenever we go long, our midfield/attackers instantly push up before the ball lands - this enables us to instantly press (if we lose possession) or support the transfer. Quite like it

    And total transformation.

    Faster passing. Simple passes.

In control as they are higher up.

obviously.. no one says it’s perfect and can create more chances and be more solid.

But 140mins into a new system can see a style developing which is more than can be said about united under ten hag

    So much better

play short and deep sure get it wide then find the out ball (salah) then pass pass pass faster and either purpose rather than anyone just carrying it

    Just ping it about.

    Starting to sing

Oh that’s some glorious football. Just a shame Brentford defender tracked Salah and didn’t just switch off. Lovely stuff though

I don't think we'll score as many this season, but we don't look as vulnerable in defence so far.

Players getting back due to starting positions being more traditional.

Brentford have a lot of people back for a team a goal down.
