They didn’t need to. I said every top club that needed to improve. Liverpools squad is miles ahead of ours. The only club that are more of a joke are Manu.
I'm not mate it's really annoying. We've been watching some of that lot for years and we should a know fine well they needed replacing. The managers going to keep picking them all season
The mass majority of the fanbase are stuck permanently in 2022/23. The landscape has completely changed since then and it was simply a good season .. nothing more.
How many millions were on the bench? If you'd handed over all that money I'm pretty sure you'd be thinking why is there a bunch of free players and players from Mike Ashley's dung still starting. I suspect if he just played the side that finished the game they'd have won, but the manager and his hoop lickers will say his plan nearly worked He's human guys he can make mistakes... he did today imo. Onto the next one...big game
So why does he do that. Play the games with the club. He’s messing with things possibly he shouldn’t be. The whole game we were tepid. Passive. Why? Is it because we have so many nice characters that we can’t get in it. Their players as where Southampton's where breaking up our play. Constantly on us. Our players just smiled and fannied on.
Might be wondering why we've spent approx £105million on Hall, Barnes and Livramento, promising though some of them are, when exploring foreign shores could have yielded similar talent for half the price.
Let's just be brutally honest and say the club need an elite ambitious manager somewhere down the line. Emery has had less time and Villa moved out the dross over a year ago.
Forest and Chris Wood. BTW Barnes finished the game, Trippier wants away and they are trying to sell Almiron who's not good enough according to you.
It's the manager without a shadow of doubt... he's starting to make a pigs ear of what at one time was a promising situation. Right now they seem to want to waste 70 million on a cb rather than be clever... they find NOTHING.. there's not been one find.....
He's not but he's better than Murphy. Seriously what have the scouts and the managers found? Are the scouts really not suggesting any gems? Is the manager just saying no I want overpriced prem proven players? Both? I'm asking a serious question because I find it baffling that with 400 million and 3 years having gone by that there's not one single clever discovery.
Minteh? Guimaraes, Isak and Botman all very good to excellent imports for, it turns out, reasonable fees. Why we seem to have switched to over-weighing the importance of PL experience is baffling. Where would we be at the moment without those foreign purchases?
The body language, the lack of clear plan, the choice of some players was all miles off. The celebrations (or lack of) for Gordon’s goal was weird. There’s something very wrong at the club.
You keep mentioning that £400m,Ashley ****ed the club over with ludicrous contracts, teams don't want the dross we're stuck with, they'll take them but they ain't paying £50/60 grand a week and throw on the PSR etc hamstrung till money comes in but maybe City might shake that up. Ps forgot to mention the players we bought ie Bruno, Isak, Gordon, Tonali,Pope, Burn, Trippier, Heffernan, Murphy
