If we’ve signed 2 keepers since January and now we need a 3rd. Surley someone has to ask the brain team “why?”

I think so yeah. He’s good at what he does though and if he keeps spending it won’t end sour. Bringing in the new Head of Recruitment has clearly seen a change in approach

It very well might as he meddles and will keep buying players
    No stability in that
What change of approach do you see?

More permanent deals, eyes on next season just as much this one.

Drameh, Hughes, Zambrano, Puerta are all u23 players with international experience, the latter 2 with senior international experience (call ups not caps) but clearly signing players that age aims to make us sustainable moving forward versus gung ho all or nothing like we saw last season

Hughes was on the pitch with Dawson during the warm up doing the usual ball in the air routine...Strange in some ways seen as he wasn't on the bench...Think him and Alf will form a solid unit....With Macca going and Cooper playing 2nd fiddle on the bench. I'm personally okay with that. Macca for me is too slow and ponderous, I'm surprised any championship outfits are interested.

I was a fan of Allsop and questioned originally why Pandur was any better. But I'd happily sign up to the Pandur fan club now. I think he's looked great. The other keeper looks promising too, so why do we need yet another? Baffling. Unless Pandur is going to be sold.

I could have sworn Hughes was on the bench.
My concern with Macca is that he tries to manoeuvre every ball he receives onto his left foot. I could see players like Honeyman targeting him yesterday and I presume that was why.

Pandur got my MOTM.....Looks solid, got good hands, decent feet and decent distribution...Better than Allsopp (not saying much, I know) We're top heavy with keepers. Surely the move for another one is a smokescreen.

One-footedness is so frustrating when watching pro footballers. I guess it's more excusable for a defender. But one of the reasons why Jarvis is so refreshing is that he tries to use both feet, and therefore can keep defenders guessing. I hope Millar will be a success, but he looks a bit one-footed.

Yeah, my mistake. I heard the roll call of names but missed him and my old eyes can't read the big screen...letters far too small.

I've been critical of Pandur but he was fine yesterday

We really need a proven striker don't we ? Bedia has scored a lot in Switzerland
but who knows how he'll do in the championship

I think we are all warming to him now Geo. I agree with us not needing another keeper

How do you know he still meddles and isn't just supporting what Walter and the brains team are asking for?
I think it's fair to say he did meddle early on, but now?

Jarvis should be kept depending on what other winger we bring in
    Hes still raw
And he will have bad games where he feels anonymous

But then against bristol city and millwall
Him and millar on opposite sides works really well

In the first half with omur out wide and hes not a wideman
Caused an imbalance and millar couldnt really get into the game

Having that wideplayer on the oppositr side
Stretches the opposition more to allow both wingers more space
And jarvis just loves to run at players
Yes his final ball can be massively be improved
But hes such a good sub to bring on
Even though he will have frustrating performances

Plus hes only got about 4 or 5 apps at this level
    Hes still massively learning

He’s also a left winger primarily, he’d usually cut in and shoot so he’s adapting to that too.

He can actually get beyond his man which is what’s frustrating about Millar at present. The few times he tried to go on the outside he was outmuscled. Do think he’s still getting upto sharpness though as he didn’t have a pre season.

We’ve looked better in every game having them 2 on the pitch at the same time. Thought Coyle, Slater and Jarv linked up very well in the second half.

We don’t need another keeper, we don’t need anymore defenders unless Giles leaves.
We don’t need anymore midfielders if the 2 suggested arrive.
    We need a decent striker

if we sign a goalkeeper it doesn’t show the championship or anyone we mean business, the gk area isn’t our problem and it won’t change the way we play
