The Manager & players will set their own expectations.

The owner made the decision to sack off the Manager, who had shown improvement, in an attempt to improve further

The expectation is, as a club, to improve on last season. The Manager & players, as always, will have my support in achieving the expectations.

Should we accept a step backwards in order to take steps forward? Maybe, if we could see evidence of that happening. Where do we go come November if things haven’t improved? Accept another change & another step backwards?

The owner has promised high scoring, free flowing football. TW has described his philosophy as “heart attack” football. We’ve seen none of this. He’s managed around 10 games & not managed to manage players into understanding his philosophy,

The owner may soon, once again, become impatient & it all starts again.

One dream, one family … when it suits.

Its very early to be talking about any of this though. We're told there could be another half a teams worth of signings coming in before the end of the week - the majority of the attacking and midfield players we had starting today have been here and playing with the rest of the squad a matter of weeks, if not days.

The biggest concern I have is how uncomfortable the defence seems playing it out when they are the players Walter has had the most time with - but equally we've got some highly rated back ups ready to come in if needed (and we did still keep a clean sheet today).

Very early days. I'm not doubting your support at all - but I think we've got to let last season go and give this space to grow. Lots of work to do that we can judge this regime on.

We didn’t play ourselves into trouble bar maybe once today from memory. The defensive third certainly seemed to have improved confidence. Improved more when Drameh came on. Need to strike that midfield balance now and get a proper striker in

Omur looked great when he came in last season , he doesn't look like the same player now
not sure what's wrong but I thought he was going to be one of our main players

He didn’t look interested first half. Jarvis was the pick of the attackers today if he just works on that final ball he’ll be a nightmare as he absolutely rinsed a very solid Joe Bryan after coming on

The passing sideways is not the problem, it's the lack of options and movement ahead - the double pivot last year lead to more options centrally, today, Zambano looked lost, we overloaded wide but couldn't move the ball quick enough.

I don't expect us to be brilliant yet, but I know that playing as we did today is exactly what Millwall wanted, and the coaching staff should prepare better for that.

A draw flattered us, again, and we have some difficult games coming up!

I agree that Zambrano contributed relatively little today. The issue will be getting the ball to him - I watched him fairly closely in that first half and he was in pockets of space so often but the pass rarely came. One thing you can see is the weight of his passing is sublime. Hard to describe but his backlift, the way the ball spins across the ground and his ability to keep it on the surface even when playing a first time pass shows real technical ability. Today might not have been the day to drop him in from the start but I remain optimistic about what he’ll be able to bring.

Took my son today, he hasn't been for a while, he asked what's the brick mascot, is that for the away team, I said yes it's the 'Millwall Brick'.

Precisely this. They must’ve been under orders to ease him in today and not overload him with possession. Coyle seemed to want to play in about four positions in the first half.

Exactly.... when his first words were 'it was boring' you know that he still feels we are way off. I think we have to expect, that this season is not one for bettering last season.

Its with hope that those around him recognise how good he is and think give the ball to him... as was said on the that podcast, dont expect lung bursting runs from him, but they did say, his first touch is control, his second touch is a pass.

Yeah I noticed he was often in a lot of space, there was a moment in the first half he stood calling for the ball in the space. Jones went right then left then passed it sideways. When the obvious ball was zambrano
