Our best start to a season since the Lee Bowyer. I’d expect us to take a big following to Reading next Saturday now . It’s not particularly pretty to watch, but Jones has us well drilled & very organised. It’s the fittest looking Charlton side in a long time. The back 5 & keeper look a decent unit that won’t concede many at this level. We still need help from the investors in terms of better attacking quality if we are going to challenge.
What the Global Moderator is trying to say, in his usual bar room brawl, spit & sawdust sort of way, is that in his imagination he scouted & recommended Ahadme & Co, and that therefore it’s him who is the success. This weird narcissistic behaviour always explains why he has to slag off Alfie May (3 goals in 3 games so far this season) at every opportunity He can’t be a normal, albeit absentee new fan, he has to be a scout and a club insider as well. It’s very strange. He’s back to talking over everyone again as well.
PS ITTV’s best poster Bexley Boy wanted us to keep Terrell & Hector …how’s that looking now Colin ? #clueless
Another great win. No goals conceded in the league so far. Looking very solid currently. These are not easy games so nine points on the board is excellent.
It's looking good after 3 games. Cautious optimism is probably the best outlook until we've played nine or ten...
3 clean sheets after 3 games; 5 clean sheets after 46 games last season. It's other teams who are making mistakes due to our high energy level.
There’s nothing not to like so far, other than the style of football not being that easy on the eye. If it gets us promoted it’s a price worth paying.
