i bet i am not the only one trying not to think too far ahead and just trying to enjoy another good game.

also, i must have missed something but i was sure we were joint top with burnley with 6 points each...yet i have just seen a picture of the league with watford joint top with us on 9.

Forgot to add. The goal was like Clarke on speed wasn’t it? Cut inside and hit, but done much quicker and hit much harder.

Mundle could easily end up a better player for us very quickly, he is quicker into stride (admittedly that wasn’t always a good thing)

!925 the last time we won the first three games without conceding a goal , albeit we were top flight then.

I’m not going to say we will go up, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get relegated. We all know that it’s as mission in itself to survive the first season back up.

Just met up with my mates after the game. They can’t understand why they had two keepers on the bench. Blaming American owners. They were toothless mind today. That said, probably the best organised Sunderland side since Allardyce. Reg Le Bris , makes me feel fine, flowing like a black cat in the sky

Isodor looks a bit of a character! Hope he's good, he seems like he could be a bit of a cult hero.

I do agree that they’re missing some important players especially in the spine of the team but the team they fielded today will still be the most expensive Xl in the division I’d imagine. It wasn’t just a slow start for them we absolutely battered them it could’ve been 3 or 4 by half time. Second half they had more of the ball but done nothing with it at all, the midfield/defence was class. Both wingers doing their fair share defensively. O’nien some great clearances, Alese never left 2nd gear. Really solid performance couldn’t ask for any more really other than that we should’ve scored more.

Yeah, they weren’t a team of kids or unknowns. When you are bringing in the likes of Massengo and Trafford are far from scraping the barrelll and playing a weak team. O’Shea was the big miss but no different to us not having Clarke.
