Can't really tell, am listening on radio. Walked into pub near where I'm working and there's three blokes sat in front of sky sports news. I couldn't be arsed to say anything so came back and listened, old school style.
Like I said on the match thread - he does that in matches against lower quality opposition. But whenever we come up against a team with an equal or better midfield, so around half the PL teams, he gets largely marked out of the game and cocks up a fair bit of what he does. He'd be great in the Championship, and first team for a fair few PL teams who need a decent(ish) playmaker, but he's nowhere near Utd quality, even with our current midfield.
Could he get better with age though, he seems to have some good basic skills. Don't know hoe old he is though.
He's about 24. I used to think he would make it based on his performances back in 2008, but he just hasn't improved at all since then. Like you say, he has decent basic skills, but nothing more than that, and shows no sign of developing anything more. Guess this is the problem with SAF's loyalty to his players - he's loyal to the average ones as well as the great ones! P.S. Bollox
He might be more suited to playing off a target man, someone like Peter Crouch/Kenwyne Jones at Stoke.
