I can confidently say if we end up with Simic, who literally looks like the no.9 we've been crying out, then it blows so many fan's arguments out the window. The main one being, "he'll not spend the money we make off selling players". Reason being, Simic wouldn't be cheap at all.

The club will probably save this one until after they announce that Jack Clarke has left.

I’ll feel a lot better seeing simic 9 on the teamsheet than Hemir 9 :emoticon-0102-bigsm that being said he’s got to fight mayenda for it now

IF Simic comes in our squad is looking pretty good imo

    GK Patto, Moore
    RB Hume, 09
    CB Ballard, 09, Alese, Hejdle
    LB Cirkin, Alese Hejdle
CM Neil, Jobe, Rigg, Browne, Ekwah, Adil
    RW Roberts, Poveda
    CF Simic, Meyenda, Wilson
    LW Wilson, Mundle, Watson

Appreciate there's a couple of players covering other positions but that looks solid to me

Apart from the obvious CF issue, think we’re really weak in depth at full back. The drop off in quality from Hume and Cirkin is huge given they’re either injured or not FBs. Alese probably the least worst. We saw what happened against Preston when you can’t have proper attacking triangles out wide if the FB can’t properly join in

Agree. I would rather we go into the market for fullback cover and CDM cover then I will sleep soundly.

I think Alese and 09 would manage that ok if needed, saying that I would prefer to see Alese stay at centre half as I believe he will become a cracking centre back.

Not sure he would be considered cover at fullback in this RLB system. Centre back only or a left of a 3.

Is Mendy out the equation now? I thought it may be Simic, Isidor (to cover the left) and Mendy all coming in and Rusyn moving out on loan.

Do we need Mendy and Simic? I'd say it was either / or so mayenda gets some game time?

Not going to complain if both come in though

Not forgetting Seelt and Huggins to come back in plus a few more of our U21,s who are more than capable of stepping in for a game or two.
As you say if Simic comes in, it will give us the lift , as he looks the perfect answer to the endless Stewart replacement saga.

I’d be inclined to agree but Le Bris seemed very relaxed about it in quotes this week. Talked about being adaptable and that we already have very good other options that may not necessarily be other personnel but shifts in systems and approach.

Like I say, I'd rather Alese stayed at centre back, it's his best position and will only improve with games

It's mad. In this system , Pembele should be absolutely cooking.

Shame he has looked terrible at everything, apart from sprinting in a straight line.

I really hope Huggins can come back and stay fit, he was looking brilliant till that horrific injury.

There's Triantis as well to add in who seems to have come on loads since his Hibs loan

Saw that but don’t really think we had the players to manage being wing backs
