Manor Solomon has reportedly torpedoed a loan to Girona Now, how do I follow up that comment without David Baddiel knocking on my door...?
Just a heads up: don't even look at any online discussions about trying to loan out Manor Solomon, as it seems there's always one poster who will get incredibly angry at the suggestion that we move him on, accuse anyone willing to see him leave of being antisemitic, before banging on and on (and I mean on) about rape I give it fifteen minutes before this post is moved to the Politics Thread
Honestly classic Spurs that a striker who didn’t miss a game for his club last season gets a knock in the first game of his season at Spurs Like I said on the other thread, shame for Lankshear that he’s injured for a couple of weeks too as he would have a good case for being on the bench and potentially getting on the pitch for this one.
Wouldn't have it any other way! Judging by how Ange has operated since being here, Lankshear probably still wouldn't have made the squad to be honest. I'd imagine Kulu starts up front now and we'll obviously have ol' pigeon boy looking to build up his fitness with a cameo. Solanke and Bentancur's absences likely make way for Bissouma and Odobert to come into the squad.
There's rumours linking Marcus Edwards with a move from Sporting before the window shuts, Palace have supposedly enquired. Should it happen then just like the Clarke to Ipswich deal we'll make a bit of money from it. Quoted fees so far range between €15m-€30m and we hold a 35% sell on clause, used to be 50 iirc but we wiped some off it off in the Porro deal.
Andreas Christensen was linked with us the other day, so naturally he's injured. Out for 2 months, apparently.

Solomon’s close to joining Leeds on loan according to Paul O’Keefe. Turned down Getafe in La Liga yesterday.
Are we allowed to loan him to Leeds? I hear one of their players skipped on paying their tram fare last season...
This was unofficially reported a few days ago. Little to no fee, but a significant sell-on clause, apparently.
What’s the point of a loan for him? Get rid and bank the fee no matter what it is. Said at the time he was just signed because he was a free and not because of any plan they had for him.
Gives him a year to demonstrate his value so as to actually get a fee for him after such a long time out injured
An observation from 30+ yrs records of Spurs managers, that is highly accurate and statistically robust.
