Milliband is claiming the people who don't claim the appropriate benefits should now apply so they can get the allowance. He's missing the facts that firstly, many of them have tried and given up, or found that after a long complex process they are literally a few pounds outside of the requirements. The other is that the cost of that would be greater than the savings from means testing it. In principle it's not a bad idea to reallocate the allowance from the wealthy to the needy, but they've made a total **** up of how they've done it.
The best governments are the ones that have minimal involvement in running the country. For ten years we've had those with a binary view of the world pointing out that the tories are ****e, and implying Labour were the answer. They could never accept that laughing at them does not mean we support 'the other' side. They're now ****ed because their favoured alternative has been given a shout and has already shown they're not up to the task. Instead of accepting that and uniting in their dislike of the current system, they'll double down and try to defend the indefensible, or post ****e in the hope it kills the conversation.
No, we need a govt that is there to support the people who live in this country, and not stealth tax them to death via inflation and taxes, whilst making their lives intolerable as they work hand in hand with satanic global entities like the UN and WHO.

Tories gave up running the country ages ago and things got worse so this nonce sense theory that governments are better just letting people crack on doesn’t really hold any truth. The happiest, ‘best’ countries we can aspire to being a bit more like happen to have governments that actually do quite a lot to help people. Though I’m disgusted Starmer hasn’t fixed literally everything in seven weeks and even if he had I’d find some other edgy non-conformist reason to dislike him because I’m very clever and not right wing.
