Nice that Flemming looks unavailable for them. I am feeling more and more positive the closer we get to this one.
Be interesting to see how many of the newer signings will feature, given the business we've done very recently it is now looking more then healthy, renewed optimism me thinks
For the second time this year, we face Millwall at home with our positivity boosted by a bunch of new signings and fancying ourselves as firm favourites. Last time although we won it was a bit of a let-down performance wise, particularly in hindsight when we never really took off in the weeks that followed either. I'm always conscious of it blowing up for us in games like this. Seems like when we're convinced we should win an 'easy' home game we almost never actually do, and yet we always dare to think we will again the next time.
Two sticks of TNT should do it, where's Blaster Bates when you need him? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Something like....? Racioppi Coyle Jones Hughes Giles Drameh Burns Mehlem Omur Bedhi Millar Bench... Zambrano, Burstow, Macca Oscar,
Simons will play in DM, I don't see why he'd play Drameh in CM either. I hope Zambrano starts, but see it more likely that he comes on for 30 mins. Same with Bedia, I'd imagine Estupinan gets his last game for us tomorrow.
As we are playing them next Saturday think I’ll watch Leeds tonight, well the first half that is with my grandson.
We've had plenty of jokes about how accommodating we are to arrange moves as soon as possible for our players who want out, whilst other clubs don't seem to be quite so urgent and accomodating towards us signing their players, but it seems it's happening again with Oscar. He's been our only striker for the first two games and going into game three we've let him go and basically have no serious striker to start the game. Maybe Burstow will be thrown in, but that's a gamble. I wouldn't be hugely surprised if TSF starts up front just on account of him being here a bit longer and having had more time with the system. Either way, it seems a bit of a mess again. This system seems to require a decent striker more than the way we played last season, which is fine if you've got one. The lack of one makes me quite pessimistic about our scoring potential tomorrow.
I don't think it changes much. Oscar's struggled to have an impact in the first few games (I never understood why he was brought back, it looked like nothing but panic & to try and get some good PR). I think if TSF would've had the full pre season, he'd have been in with a real shout but I suspect it'll be Burstow. We've treated the first few games as an extension of pre-season, so it's only another game and the last before the end of the window.
