Pub question. A couple of mates coming from Burnley. One of em blind (it isn’t a joke this btw). Any suggestions on away safe places to have a drink, ie no dickheads, allow away fans a short walk from the station? Not sure where they tend to go but he clearly can’t drive. I wondered about the taproom but would they be funny about (blind) away fans ?
RLB We are working on many profiles (strikers) but it is not finished, we will see We have many talented players inside the club (Mayenda) We need to believe in their potential Jack Clarke trained this morning - he is available for the team (at this moment) We are working hard on a replacement (if it happens) We need to repeat this kind of performance It will be a good test of our consistency and for the players Chris Rigg wants to improve all of the time Browne & Poveda are ready, Ballard could be involved for Portsmouth. Reggie is the man J'adore Regis le Bris!
Perhaps one of the bars down sunniside, if you want it a bit quieter than a rammed pub nearer the stadium, 5 minute walk from the station and you're not too out of the way to get back to the stadium. I don't think anyone will mind anyway, presumably they can see that he is blind.
Missing this one due to being abroad on holiday. I'll go 2-1 to the lads to keep the feel good factor going.
Hard one to call at the minute, both teams have players that have strong transfer rumours (clarke for us n oshea for them) so unsure what the starting line ups will look like We have to be on it to take the 3 points, i do feel we win if our players play like they did against wed! They have 2 top CMs tho, Cullen n Brownhill are probably the best CM 2 in the league - compliment each other so well We can cause them problems tho so ill go for a 1-1 draw at the minute until i see the starting line ups Could be a cracking game
There will be a temptation due to his ability n experience however, think youve got to go with the same team again Rigg will cause them problems with his movement and tactically he really seems to be coming along well Be great having browne back in the squad tho
Very tough one to call. Expect a tight game and head says 1:1. Heart says 2:0 though, probs coz I’ve had a couple of beers by the pool. Couple more brews and it’ll be 4:0 I’d love to keep a clean sheet and bag some goals.
Great thread @RTB I think it will be a cracking game. Its one I'm excited for. I think that we have the ability to win this one although I doubt it will be by 4 clear goals. I'm going for a narrow 2-1 win to the lads (Roberts and Jobe) Ha'waaaaaaaaaay
Nervously predicted 1-1 last game, oh how we laughed at the unexpected result and performance. As it's a 3pm k.o. expect the atmosphere to go up a notch or two, so going for 2-0 to the lads... Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads
Thanks RTB, as always pure class. I think an early goal like last week would set us on our way to another victory, we seem to let the shackles off when we notch early and are hard to peg back. I would pick the same team and just go at them from the off, get the crowd bouncing and another great day is on the cards. Im on a written warning after last weeks escapades however, the wife was not a happy bunny last Sunday, I was invited to a family disciplinary meeting last Monday and the feedback wasnt good. Apparently I am too old to sing " keep the red flag flying high " at the top of my voice on the landing at 10pm on a Sunday in my boxer shorts !! Next 2 days determine what my plans are for Saturday, if she mellows I will be out for 12, if she doesnt I will be out for 11
Good test they’ll be looking to come at us which will leave gaps, if we can continue to be clinical we can get something, will be a good game regardless
Away fans are welcome pretty much everywhere unless they are dickheads. One of my best pals in world is a Chelsea lad we met after the 3-2 game (we stayed up they went down) Met them in the Wheatsheaf and took them to town and raving. Pals ever since
