0. Arriving at the ground and seeing the VAR monitor pitch side (looming, ready to strike) will be enough to quell any excitement.
If you see a bloke in the Northam at 14:45 with cold sweats and complaining about heart palpitations you'll know it's me.
Red route is the way I always get to the football, but apparently no access for home fans. Do we reckon that's just to discourage the masses but you can still get through or that they'll be checking people and you won't physically be able to get past the away end to the Kingsland from that direction?
Think it'll depend on the match. For most you'll be able to walk through there still pre-game I'd wager and the stuff I saw from the club mentioned 'encouraging' people not to use it. Suspect many away fans will still come down via Northam road and the footbridge. Why would they come from ocean village direction when they'll mainly be drinking in town? Post game will be rather different I suspect. I'm still curious to know what the escort route will be for the games which need it.
Though just realised you mentioned the Kingsland. Even if you can get through Melbourne street I suspect they might make you walk all the way round the ground.
Yeah that's what I'm wondering. Might give myself a bit more time and test the waters on Saturday. Will report back in case anyone else is wondering the same.
The whole thing is about making money so you'd think they open it up to as many people as possible? Like I say other clubs do it presumably without issues.
