As I said, I do want him, but £60m+ is simply overpriced. And will set too much expectation on him IF it does go through. I won't change from that view. Good player, probably worth £40m-£50m in current market. Less would be good business, more than that would be questionable.

The Newcastle fans that believed Gordon at 40m was a rip off were unfortunately off their head on crack cocaine or had brother and sister parents. It was blatantly obvious the kid was talented and at an unbelievably toxic and appalling football club. Hindsights got nothing to do with it.

No according to Downie they’ve realised they cannot rely on Miggy or Murphy so will bring in someone on loan with option/obligation to buy.
I posted saying we should sign Gordon about 2 years before they bought him.. A few were happy when he signed but most people just look at stats and were all completely wrong.
