A tad ungracious in defeat so I'm hoping Swansea beat them on Sat and shove his 'philosophy' firmly back up his arse.
The man is a bloody disgrace who should refund every one of Blackburns travelling fans out of his wages for even contemplating such a statement. I think he's simply trying to lie his way out of a very tricky situation.Come on the Jax finish him off.
Kean looking for excuses, if he was true to himself Blackburn were out thought and out played. The Job Centre is closed today but he will need their service before long.
Blackburn were up for it until Kenny's goal then their body language showed they had all but given up and Kean did nothing to change that. Roberts and Porky Yakubu should have been on as soon as our second went in, if only to give some hope to the 800 or so fans who had travelled down in terrible weather. Good support for a crap side. Kean has lost the plot, if he ever had it. He has even failed to catch hold of the straws he is clutching for. Mind you our boys played some of the best football of their season and if we had notched 4 or 5 it wouldn't have been a disservice to Blackburn. If only Kev's shot had gone in - goal of the season or what?
Kenny Dalglish, Ray Harford, Roy Hodgson, Brian Kidd, Graeme Souness, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince, Sam Alerdyce. All well known and respected. Then ? Steve Kean
I think he'll fall on his sword if the Jacks hopefully beat them lol, do feel sorry for the fans though having to witness that sort of ineptitude week on week
if he was forfeiting the match, surely he could have told the supporters they would be watching a second string? quite a few turned up and basically wasted their money, on a match the manager had little interest in winning... aberdude, man cities accounts showed total ticket sales in the 10/11 season were £19m. contrast that with around £40m of TV money, sky money is much bigger
Some Blackburn fans , on hearing the managers comments , are seriously trying to get a refund Lol !! . Probably an hour or so from now it will only be you guys representing " The Football League " ...goodluck !!
Before I start my rant, I'd just like to point out, that up until this ridiculous statement from Kean, I actually had some sympathy for him. Clearly he's been out of his depth, but I didn't like the hate campaign that was going on against him by some Blackburn fans. However............................(and here comes the rant):- This is the worst demonstration by a bad loser that I can remember in all my years of following football. How the hell can the man expect to gain the respect of anyone in football (let alone the supporters of his own club), when he so easily lies in his attempts to save his own job. He clearly has no regard for the club he manages, otherwise he wouldn't be so free with nonsense like this - nonsense that could easily create the wrong image about his club. I chose the word "lie" with care. His post match interview was at complete odds with this latest "forfeit" rubbish. His interviews have been hesitant and nervy with no clear answers to the questions asked of him. How the hell can he complain so vehemently about referees decisions, and then say he forfeited the game? There is no way in the world that he forfeited the game, but IF he had, how does he explain it to the fans who expect to see their team try and win, especially when they've travelled so far on a rainy Novemeber night? And again, IF he had forfeited the game, why the hell go public and spoil good feelings of a club from a lower division. I cannot conceive of any situation that would make his comments appropriate. I is abundantly clear that this man has no regard for anyone and is prepared to disrespect everyone in his bid to keep a job for which he is clearly incapable of. He owes Blackburn fans, us and football fans generally a huge apology.
to be fair, his priority by far and away is to stay in the PL, and he has winnable games coming up, his comments were just more up front than you'd get from other managers. do you think chelsea were going all out to reach the semis? they played some youth and back up players and lost, we all know his priority is league and CL.
I appreciate that swamp. The problem is that he was being most "hard done by" in is post match interview and then the next day he came out with this "forfeit" rubbish. Is he really being upfront if he tells one story one day and a directly opposing story the next? And did AVB suggest that he forfeited the game against Liverpool?
