I read that earlier. Very peculiar behaviour, never heard of anyone carrying on like that. A true account or a work of fiction?
The former would be my guess. ****ing weirdos! Did I tell you I watched the metal detectorist series a few months ago with the guy from The Office in it? It was watchable.to be honest, as I watched all the episodes, but not sure I would file it under "comedy".
It's an endearing programme, perhaps on the same comedy level as the likes of Lovejoy, some funny bits but really a gentle drama.
It is certainly endearing. A real gem of a programme. I'm hoping for a Christmas special. The Worzel Gummidge remakes are really rather nice too.
Thought the last Christmas Special was the final, final episode? There were some strange inconsistencies in that one regarding Andy's attitude to non-metallic finds. I don't suppose ordinary types like you would pick up on this but it somewhat ruined the episode for me.
Maybe ordinary isn't the correct word but you don't have the obsession for digging up crap that some of us do.
I bought Fuddy a birthday card with a picture of a treasure hunter on it. Inside it declared "I found you!" She was thrilled and so did I.
I love the Worzel remake, I think Mackenzie must have really loved the stories, because he put so much into it. Harrumph!
Single Viking coin find declared treasure due to "national significance", a first since treasure rules change: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg79e45341po
