There is a benefit to cancelling a contract by mutual consent even if doesn’t result in a transfer fee. He’s off the wage bill and we don’t have fork out the full amount of his final year’s salary.

I think one of the benefits of not holding players to ransom is that they may also not demand much of a payout either. I imagine we paid more to pay off Woods than we have Seri…

If the contract is cancelled by mutual consent would we have paid him anything?

Usually the mutual element is a payment of lost earnings up front rather than cancelling altogether

Think Oscar might stay as TW likes him and we now seem be showing interest in players that are capable of providing the service he needs.

Seri could have asked for the move and said he would not take the rest of the salary due to him probably earning a lot more by simply going there that’s a mutual agreement to we don’t know yet.

I like that we have basically gotten rid of all our aging high earners and replaced them with young and hungry upgrades personally.

But on paper they do also look better but we see how they adapt, I like the fact we have or could have 2 or 3 South American I think that will make them feel more at home so to speak.

Already been said he's got interest and we dont tend to stand in players way if they want to leave. If he wants to he will go
