Copper is a really solid manager. It’s not a particularly talented team and Vardy won’t be able to do it every week but he’ll get close to the best out of what’s there unlike some of the dross managers in this league. If he didn’t look like he was melting people would rate him more highly.

Not a RB though, just got caught out there. Lot of Spurs fans think he could displace Maddison as the season goes on, looked mustard in pre-season. Only 18 though so gonna need time. He's the one we (somehow) stole from under Barca's noses in January but only joined up this summer.

 

I thought Maddison was gonna be the player to take you to the next level ?

I know it's only the first game, but you looked a bit one dimensional to me. Fat Ange was supposed to bring dynamism, but he's looking more and more like a one trick pony. I also thought you missed Hoijberg, still don't get why you sold him. He looked like the only one with a bit of steel in your MF

 

If he stays fit he can but his injuries have been a problem, it's cost him games and then form too, looked good last night though.

Hojbjerg was always a steady eddie, he got more stick than he should've from fans but it was right to sell him. Didn't really suit the new style of football Ange wants to play.

As for Ange, I used those exact words last night - one dimensional. Need to see more from him this season, he spoke in pre-season about how the players are more prepared for his tactics now but last night said otherwise. Still not worked on defensive shape and we keep trying the same thing over and over again in attack, needs more variation.

 

To be fair I thought you were very good first half and until the equaliser. On another day you’re 3-0 up at half time and we’re talking about how Lesta are doomed. That first XI is really quite good but not sure there’s enough depth to compete for much beyond 6th/7th. Man like Ange needs a cup.

 

I think we lack a top class RW and DM, whilst jury's out for me on Solanke. I personally didn't want him and he wasted three decent chances last night but we'll see what happens throughout the season. £125m on him and Richarlison though is bonkers.

I've predicted us to finish around 6th, though I'd rather sack off the league to a degree and go all out for Europa, much better chance of winning that than finishing top 4 and I really don't give a toss about top 4 these days tbh.

Think we looked decent for 55 mins but once Leicester scored we hit a brick.

We seem to play controlled attacking football, miss **** loads f chances, score and then just play slow sideways football.

Think that September and October could be big months for Ange. If we do poorly against the toon (a), Villa (h), West ham (h), United (a) and yourselves (h) ... we only got 1 point from those 5 games last season... I can see fans losing patience.

Bentancur is made of tissue paper and Romero goes wandering like he’s Maddie McCann. If they can replace those two I think they’ve got a good side. Easier said than done.

 

Not many shocks then for the opening weekend Leicester getting a point and Utd getting 3 are the only 2 I can think of.
