Forgot the Engineer Arms had reopened. Need to pop in there really.

 

I ****ing hate it when people change things.

 

I missed out on this one, I dithered and tickets sold pretty fast.

Hope we can generate at atmosphere close to the west brom game.

There does seem to be a feel good factor better than our last PL season.

 

There are still some tickets available to buy through the ticket exchange.

 

Ah cheers brendy am going to Ipswich game instead now. I dithered as have a late night Friday, going to see a band at Dreamland, Margate and wasn't sure I could make the early start Saturday. (Lightweight)

I was being a bit flippant about the sending off, I agree it wasn't necessary, except it kind of confirmed that the Toon outrage was outrageous

I only remember the Red Card delay
What was the other one? Maybe I'd gone for a piss?

However, I dont want to be in the defending VAR camp really, I just thought it was much less than last time we were here, so I'm only damning it with faint praise
I suspect it was only because there was only one goal, which didn't have a sniff of foul or offside about it

There was a short check on our goal which was disallowed for offside which seemed completely unnecessary. The red card check took ages too considering how blatant it was.

And yeah I get where you're coming from. It'll never seem that bad in games we don't score in cos that's when it's at its worst.

There's talk about replacing 12 pennies to a shilling with 5 pence to a 5p piece. It'll never catch on...

This is a massive game already for us.

Need to show that we can compete.

 

I was thinking about this today. The most pleasing thing about the Newcastle performance was that I think we showed that we can compete (okay, it's only one game). I'm not going into every game thinking we're going to get embarrassed, which is an improvement from how I felt a couple of weeks ago.

 

We may lack some individual quality compared to the season that we went down, but I feel much better about the team then I did then. Knowing the players have a clear playing style/have shown that they play for each other gives me hope for the season...

This is exactly how I feel too. I was definitely incredibly pessimistic before that game
