It might be this Wednesday or next. But I heard that nothing will happen tomorrow. I heard it on Twitter.
Akin to the glass half full vs half empty comparison, saying "nothing is going to happen" somehow seems more positive than "something isn't going to happen". So I'm taking it that you have positive vibes at the moment.
You must press the same audio button on apps as Trev does when trying to type a message and we have to listen to him eat his tea
How'd he manage his council meetings during Covid then? Zoom with a cat filter on or his mic on mute?
Nothing at all is the answer While Howe awkwardly gargles the players balls pretending they're prime Spain material
It goes one Newcastle still believe they can sign England defender Marc Guehi, 24, from Crystal Palace, but they are also considering Liverpool and England defender Joe Gomez, 27, along with Chelsea's 25-year-old English centre-back Trevoh Chalobah Guehi still best option tbh
Did anyone, and I mean anyone, see him getting the tune out of Murphy that he has? I had fully given up on Murphy as a waste of money and dead weight on our wagebill. I'd strongly argue he improved Longstaff, Schar, Joelinton and Miggy so they are all at higher levels than they were previously and seems to get the best out of Willock and even Lascelles and Krafth (who were absolute liabilities previously). When Howe arrived we had 2-3 players who weren't utter dogshite. Turns out we actually had 5-10 who could function in a top 4-6 squad already. We need better players and there is a mild concern regarding transfers this summer but I have zero doubt whatsoever that Howe improves players. Hell, when we were threatened with relegation he got Shelvey running and Fraser played excellently.
The improvement in everyone else sadly highlighted the limitations of ASM, he went from being the only exciting thing under Bruce to a total misfit under Howe. Oh well, he got a motherfucker of a pay rise when he left, win win for both sides. Thankfully he never saw potential in Clark though.
Yeah I loved ASM and when he tore Man City apart in the 3-3 draw we got (he had Kyle Walker on toast and assisted 2 or 3 of the goals down that side) but he really shone in a side where the only tactic was to break up play and pass him the pass and pray. The moment we had a structure built around teamwork and intensity his days were numbered. Clark was out when he got that Red card against Norwich in an absolute must win game early in Howe's tenancy. The player that surprised me by under-achieving is Jamal Lewis as I felt there was a player in there and he was young and eager when Howe joined and played a position we were especially weak, saw flashes of him but can't have been good at all in training at they've since bought 3 replacements (Targett, Burn, Hall) and would probably play Trippier and Livramento before him too.
