Steve Bruce has been the first premier league manager to be sacked- though I was expecting it.

Ellis Short has got an important job in his hands now.

But can't see them being in danger of going down, think there are at least 3 teams that will finish below the Mackems.

Still finishing 17th & being second best in the North East again isn't a great return on his investment.

They can still take Brady, if they feel he'll turn it around for them.

Been saying for at least a year now that they should get rid of bruce. With the squad they have (had) they should have been challenging for the europa league slots now battling against relegation every season. As long as bruce was in charge they were never going to progress no matter how much money they spent!

If I was Short, I'd give Moyes a bell, he's obviously pissed off with things at Everton and given a few bob, he'd definitely be in the top six.

How about a fone call to the KP Stadium to see if Judas Pearson fancies a shot at the Premiership??

Tango man is surely favourite, to lead Sunderland to the Premier League title. The thing is Bruce will be appointed by Blackburn - as he has this talent to get a job based on no talent of being able to manage a football club

anyone like to suggest who will be the next manager of Blackburn? After the obligatory appearance on the retirement home for talentless ex-players, match of the day and football focus. It seems that footballers dont make good insurance men and pub landlords anymore!

i tipped sunderland to go down at the begining of the season, lost there 3 top players over the last year, bent, henderson and gyan, and replaced them with a right load of **** like bendter..no surprise to me they are struggling

Still think Blackburn and Wigan will go down and then it's one out of Bolton, QPR, Wolves, West Brom, Swansea to get the remaining place. Think Fulham, Stoke and the Mackems will just survive.

I think Steve Bruce is a case in point on the 'too many headers kill your braincells thread' that was started on here the other day, he's nearly as bonkers as Dowie

He won't be idle. He does voluntary work hand-washing Alex Ferguson's underwear - apparently it's a labour of love.

Probably the job will go to MON but would love to see what Moyes could do with a club with money.

Yeah but he got sacked at just the right time, there's plenty of opportunities this time of year with places looking for a fat **** with a red face who likes wearing red and white.
