To bring it back on topic then, a Blackburn supporting work colleague has said about Travis "he often loses possession right in front of the 18 yard box". He'll fit right in with our defence..
None of the Blackburn supporters that I’ve spoken to seem too concerned at the prospect of losing him.
I was going to mention he said "you're welcome to him he's ****e" but he says that about almost all their players at some point or other, so I take it with a pinch of salt.
TLDR of the 1904 Pod - Talking to 3 strikers but close to one. None of the 3 based in England - Did talk to Bozenik. Went far but he decided he didn't want to play in the championship - Interest in Travis is real. Club confident they get it done - Puerta nothing we dont know. Interest from clubs on the continent - Giles rumours still wont go away
I listened to 1904 club so you don't have to: Looking at 3 strikers (none based in England), was told last night close to 1 of the 3. Not seen the name mentioned and will be permanent Bozenik got quite far down the line, but didn't want to move to the championship Only expect 1 striker in, but wouldn't be surprised if Oscar left and we signed 2 Meffert wants the move, he's on the list, but behind Travis in pecking order. Doesn't think it will happen Travis a key target. Some way apart in valuations, suggestion Blackburn want £3m A lot of competition for Puerta, one to keep an eye on Fee for Burstow a lot less than £2m reported Feeling at the minute is that Boro moved away from Giles
I mentioned Travis last summer but that would’ve been as a midfield partner for Seri. He’s quite limited on the ball. Defensively he’s decent but I just don’t think he’s good enough on the ball as a lone #6 for the style of football Walter wants us to play. To be honest, I’d rather have Meffert and for the £3 million Blackburn supposedly want for Travis, we could do better than either of them if we’re willing to spend a few million on a defensive midfielder.
I know you've watched a lot of Hamburg. Seems Tim wants a number 6 that just facilitates others and isn't the dictator like Seri was. He wants to get it to the creative midfielders and wingers quick which Travis could probably do whilst also giving the defensive cover
No. What I took from it is that Giles would like to go (perhaps not distraught to stay). Boro seems to have moved on but may come back in for him late, which could change things.
I work at Ewood, so I’m surrounded by a lot of Blackburn fans and of those that I’ve spoken to about it, no one has seemed bothered about him potentially leaving. If the price is right, they’ll sell him but I’m not sure if he’s at the level we need, unless it’s seen as a squad acquisition. Just seen the post suggesting that Blackburn want £3m for him, so definitely isn’t going to be brought in as anything but an expected starter at that sort of money or anywhere near.
We were never linked with Muriqi, he was always above our limits, Acun just used Hull city as a leverage to find him a good salary in top tier clubs of Europe. It was a political move, Muriqi is a bit political figure in Turkey, Muriqi's farewell message (Instagram Story) to Turkey was a photo with brother in law of Erdogan and current sport minister (who was not a minister back then, probably had no interest in sports at all). Muriqi came to Turkey in 2014, acquired Turkish nationality in 2015 magically, although there is literally no eligible law to acquire it in 1 year unless you do a great service to Turkish nation. His first club Giresunspor is where match fixing case started in 2011, third club Rizespor is fully government backed club - (Erdogan's origin city, 1/3 of Turkish cabinet is from that city, other 1/3 from Trabzon) and fourth one is Fenerbahce where he met Acun thanks to his government ties. Bottom Right: Current Sport minister, Middle Bottom: Erdogan's brother in law Top Left: Ridvan Dilmen, Fenerbahce legend - Hardcore Erdogan supporter Top Middle: I don't know probably someone important from Rizespor Top Right: Agent Canatar please log in to view this image
