He is, well playing at centre half away to stoke in February I suppose.

That's a real shame - Huggins I assume you mean?
Either one it's a shame - think Huggins adds a lot of depth to the squad when fit.

What’s crazy about watching Rigg, he already has the decision making of a lad who’s played 100 plus games.

Even his ‘direction of travel’ he seems to always see where the space is going to open up and steps off into it.

The lad is going to be phenomenal. I mean the list of clubs that tried to pinch him tells us that.

He’s so quick into it because of this. He is on the move straight away as he knows what he is looking to do.

We have had some cracking talent come through the ranks but if he doesn’t surpass the 2 Jordans in stature I’ll be gobsmacked. I hope we get a few years out of him and when he moves he goes in the same way Hendo does. All our blessings and to the very top of the game.

Yesterday for me and how I view him he stepped up another level. Knew he was special but he was just so effortless and looked like he just enjoyed himself out there.

You can’t coach these things as much as you can tactics and movement. It’s natural.

I hear he has a wonderful family behind him who support his decisions and keep him right, same as Hendo’s did. I can see him and Jobe in Englands midfield in a few years for sure.

The great thing about them both. Is as and when the time comes they both move on, well, the profile is already massive.

Everyone knows who those 2 are and the ‘starting bids’ will be at a level already. If we get up, these lads could be £50million sales if they show something in the PL, which I firmly believe they could or will.

My first worry though is keeping Cirkin after January if he stays fit. He could go and slot into 17 teams in the PL right now and be decent. LB are thin on the ground as showcased by the Euros imbalance and we have an English one that does the lot.

We seem to be producing players who look like they can become comfortable in various positions.

Can Triantis play right back, could Ba or Aouchiche ...

... sounds implausible but I think that's the way the club is going.

O'Nien can definitely fill in there if needs be so we don't have a desperate need to buy another full back imo.

I was thinking that about Cirkin at the match yesterday. A long way to go but there's a lack of options at left back for England, I could definitely see Dennis in there in the future.

I think RLB has made his first mistake at the club.

I watched Dan Neil yesterday, in the replay and during Access All Areas ...

... he's not the right man for captain, either for the team or himself.

It needs to be considered imo.

If you look at AAA he comes down the steps and barely looks at the staff, etc, before scurrying off to the changing room ...

... O'Nien shows how it should be done, sadly he's not a guaranteed starter in every game as Neil probably is.

Easily mate. In a way the injuries have been a blessing as the buy back expired in summer, had he been fit he’d likely be back at Spurs now.

He is wholly our asset now. He is just levels above the standard at LB for this league and could easily be playing PL right now when fit and on his game.

The captain should be picked on what they are like in the changing room, i know a lad that played with us for a few seasons and he said neil is class in the dressing room (and that was a few yrs a go)

O9 is great at all that stuff on all access thats why hes club captain

Absolutely superb that, everyone knew their role and we worked as a team.
And Robert’s ovation for Rigg was great to see. (Through a misty eye).

Agreed. That's why we need a fullback until he is ready to play his part again.

Aye fair point. With Ballard back Alese is cover for Cirkin (who is getting to be a top end championship full back btw) and Onien covers Hume id presume. Not shabby but one more fullback be useful although it's more likely they bring in a c.half apparently.

Alese has shown he can play CB so we really could use him there if we needed LON to cover RB as well, so there’s a bit of cover at the back.

It really is just up top isn’t it? I’m happy enough if it’s just Mendy.

Be happier with Mendy and a 2024/25 seasons version of Diallo TBF.

I think you need proper full backs in this system tbh mate looks like he wants them bombing forward all the time. Not sure if he’d be able to get up and down the pitch as well as the likes of Cirkin, Hume and Huggins can. Alese might be able to on the left like

Can only recall Alese diving in once at Cardiff giving away a dangerous free kick, he did it once yesterday and missed their player which he got away with.
We've played 2 teams who are reportedly very adept at dead ball situations and kept 2 clean sheets, can't really remember Patto being asked to do a lot in either game. These selection issues are what RLB gets paid for.

Fair, but Luke carries the ball well. I liked him at RB when he played there.
