The Monday night KO is so frustrating, it feels we are on catch up already but on the other hand it will give the late comers to the team and those returning from international duty an extra couple of days
You can’t have that mindset already and I’m sure Ange won’t have it. Doesn’t if you play first or last at this stage of the season. As long as Spurs take care of business it will all be fine.
We either play excellently at Leicester or terribly...no in between. Last time out we were slaughtered 4-1. They will be well up for it as will the crowd. We need to start quick, take our chances and not let up. We can't afford a slow start or to give away set pieces early on.
This fixture has produced some classics over the years. Top of the pile is obviously the Stevie Wonder Show. I loved their capitulation against us in the 2-4 that saw them miss out on CL football AGAIN and got their comeuppance for a blatant dive by Vardy to give them a penalty and the lead. That was also the last ever Gareth Bale goals in a Spurs shirt so it was quite special to witness. The 1-6 under Poch was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Kane and Son tortured them from start to finish.
My cousin was at the Bergwijn one. He said when the third goal went in, he ended up 7 rows in front of where he was meant to be, balancing on another bloke's shoulder. The limbs were insane.
Probably wasn't expecting him to have been involved anyway but Odobert definitely won't be in the squad tonight, work permit is still yet to come through.
