Struggle for top 6 without a shadow of doubt. It doesn't take a genius to work it out because you only have to look at the names on the team sheet. I'm not saying top 10 is out of the question because that would be silly, but they'll do well to finish anywhere in the 7th to 10th area.
Where did they finish last season? Jesus pardew landed 5th once.. it was a good season where everything went for them. Newcastle finished 7th and other clubs around them have spent money... so?
Furthermore even the manager has said expectations need to be lowered. I think I'm being reasonable with 7th being peak... others just simply don't understand what they're up against... higher than 7th with these players would be unbelievably difficult imo. Why people see 7th as not being a fantastic season I'll never know.
No I haven't I'm just trying to help you move on from 2023 and to acknowledge the difference in the landscape. Can Newcastle sign more players and change my mind over the next two weeks ? Yes ... Will they do enough ? I don't think so, but we will find out.
It’s just my opinion. Which I’ve had confirmed we are all allowed to make. Without prejudice might I add. I didn’t see an awful lot in the first 30 minutes to suggest we are a top 4 team. I still maintain we will finish top 7 though.

Man United are going to leave Newcastle for dust over the next 2 or 3 years. They've employed good people now, so it's just a matter of time. The reality is the big clubs are not Newcastles competition... West Ham Brighton and Villa are.

I thought the game and we were poor but, I won't take much from it. Gordon's performance was a tad concerning but we have plenty of games left, then we had the idiocy of Schar. We need a signing or two to lift the spirits of the squad and I don't mean a ****ing bloke from Bournemouth ffs.
