Right back I'd say although he's players well at left back he's very one footed.

 

Good player, sorry we lost him, but was injury prone.

 

Bit harsh. He had one big injury (acl?) which had a couple of setbacks but he featured pretty regularly for us beforehand.

 

Yeah, I've seen nothing to suggest he's injury prone.

 

Been OK for us ... didn't play much though last season.

 

Made in the Southampton way, you will find he never cheats.

 

Is he even from Southampton? I hate out home grown players.. they're not good enough but because they're geordies they are stinking the place out on a regular basis and getting away with it.

Pretty sure he wasn't in our academy. Signed him aged 18/19 and stayed only a season.

 

Not fully fledged from our Academy, he had a short period where he learn't the Southampton way, after falling out with Chelsea. Musn't forget Matt Targett he was one of ours, another injury prone player that never reached his full potential.

 

Well, that's that then. Really enjoyed our time back in the PL but now we should prepare for next season.
It was always going to be tough but we can now reset and come back stronger.

Roy has been around for ages and I think he’s ok .

You could argue he shouldn’t come on here so soon when tempers may go , people are feeling hurt , and I would agree .

Fact is he did .

I would just point out if we had won , he would quite likely being on here Congratulating us .

he’s a wum on occasions but he’s ok really IMHO .

 

Unlucky with injuries would be more accurate I guess.

 

We should have learned a lot from the Newcastle game, it was always going to be a tough one and most of us, I think were pessimistic about getting a hiding, we didn't, just came up short with one fatal mistake and a failure to take chances being the prime facrors, the red card incident didn't help. Blue line, onwards and upwards from now.
