That would be a great start. Now just to find players who will improve the team and that we can afford.
I think he realises that there is a hell of a lot of work to do. At least we won. That was the most important thing. In your opinion if you could have only one player which position would you fix. CB or RW?
I'm sure we could have told him that a fairly unanimous priority in RW and RCB for now. Fix those first, then gradually start upgrading the rest of the squad.
Both are in drastic need of an upgrade....there's also got to be at some point a move away from at least one player that's getting picked.
If I had to choose just one, I would say RW first. We need some real quality on that side to help open teams up. CB we have a few options who are 'OK' for now.
I think that this idea here is why I've been quietly crying inside as I've watched the Guehi bid go (slowly) up and up.
This will not be agreed with but they need a cm too. They need someone with a bit of mobility and passing ability in there. It's only my opinion but if they don't get that they'll never move forward because the 3 best cms are not that kind of player. Willock probably is but he's never fit and that means they have to field a player that just runs around.... it ain't enough. Tonali guimereas and Joelinton will seldom all be available and they're not the quickest any of them...Tonali is essentially Guimareas's replacement once sold at the end of this season.. There's something missing imo but time will tell.. it's only my thoughts.
Btw lads anything misogynistic will now be deemed extremist so be careful because you might get longer in jail than a murderer.
Tonali is faster than he initially looks, but overall I agree (it also pushes Longstaff further away from the starting 11 ). It's just less immediately required than the RW and CB reinforcements. Actually, whilst we're at it - a new GK option that can actually push Pope, or better him (Pope's distribution often makes me sad ). A new, genuine and decent LB to rotate with Hall and take the pressure off whilst he develops. A creative, quality LW option to be a long term Gordon replacement, as he'll likely be Liverpool bound in another transfer window or two (could probably afford Kvaratskhelia with the Gordon money ).
Yeah they need a player that's mobile who can turn and lose players in tight spots in the middle of the park... I understand David Silvas are hard to find but that's the type.
