Pre the Howe induced injury crisis. The squad needs improvements. There is no question on this point. We literally have not improved the squad.
The next couple of games will tell us more, but if they lose to Bournemouth and Spurs they'll still keep saying they finished 4th once and we had players missing. The truth is deep down they know the side needs a two or 3 additions and that it lacks mobility in midfield. Willock is required he can fix the midfield mobility issue which is what I said, but rw and cb need better players. If that side get 4 points from the next two games I'll say I was wrong plain and simple.
We need Schar to not be a first starter. I like him. But he has moments like yesterday which just cannot happen. Joelinton is probably the only reason we won yesterday. Lose him and we may as well accept mid table. Gordon looked poor and we still have Murphy. I would rather we spent 75m on two good players.
Newcastle is all huff and puff with a few good players thrown in the mix. The football isn't particularly great.

Howe is now part of the mediocrity that needs to be moved on. Exactly the same style of play that failed so often last season, relying on the same players who’ve been poor for so long yet he constantly claims it’s nigh-on impossible to improve this team.
No. I’m not missing your point. Your point was that we can’t have a lot of money. The available information seems to prove you wrong. The Club also appear to already be aware that we need more than one player and yet are said to be bidding in the region of £65M for one player. To me, at least, assuming the rumours are true that would suggest the Club do have more than £65M available to spend. Which, again for me, suggests we do have a lot of money to spend. I obviously could be wrong as no one but the Club really knows but I believe my logic stands up to scrutiny rather than a bland negative statement claiming the end of the World is nigh. The Club also probably understand that, unlike Chelsea, you can’t just keep buying players but have to sell them as well to make space financially for new players. Again somewhat logical and somewhat obvious.
Style and tactics are down to Howe, but it's Mitchell's job to improve the squad he has available to select from. Can't blame Howe for picking who he has. Who else would you have started with yesterday, out of those fit & available?

Really? Hes being told by the manager the team is outstanding and needs very little work when in everyone else’s eyes there’s only four players we can’t improve.
