I agree but two wrongs don't make a right, just because they do it and get away with it, we shouldn't copy it. Ref in hindsight should have sent both off, in a strange way it would have levelled things up, and we may have had a better chance of winning, funny old game. Football fates doing their own thing?

It was never a red card, he barely touched him. But you need to do that in the PL because everyone else does - great dive hy BBD too, his 6 months in Spain clearly not wasted.

Shocker from McCarthy but we all knew it would happen at some point. Its on the club to fix that asap.

BBD should have scored that header just before we conceded too, fairly easy chance that.

All in all we looked decent but its a shame to lose because of such an obvious weakness that any fan could point out. Ramsdale on loan with buy obligation if we stay up!

The theory is that a red card gives the advantage to the team offended against, this was the exception, the seemingly unjust nature of it fired your team and crowd up and resulted in a victory for you. the referee was your friend, you booed him for the wrong reasons, he was rubbish for both sides.

 

Wow maybe clubs should get sent off more often.

 

Clubs? Not sure what you mean.

 

A new tactic... train your playing staff to get sent off, so the referee will be your friend and reduce your side to 10 men. This way the crowd will win the game for you.

 

I agree that BBD made a meal of the incident but don’t pretend you don’t have players who wouldnt do the same. Murphy springs to mind. Anyway it didn’t help us. Enjoy the win.

Bit late on here; just couldn’t yesterday. Agree with all above. Strange as I’d prepared for a 3-0 smashing & would have been ok with that (with the usual caveats) but to witness
that opportunity & our fairly pointless forward penetration was so frustrating. I’m gutted & still am now. Mccarthy is just Mccarthy. ****e play but not really his fault because he just can’t do it & im sure that’s what RM has already said (?) which scares the **** out of me, that we’ll continue with this until Baz is back (please no). Moving on, we have a lot of issues up front & I mean the whole forward offensive from midfield onwards. Saw it in buckets yesterday. Yep difficult vs that set up but it worries me for the “NForest” type teams. Well, RM in a weeks time, we’ll see.
