Gee. Great. Only thing I can remember him being good at was giving away free-kicks just outside our penalty area late on in games.
Think that happening as been on the back of a lot of our minds. Never got a run of games, was a bit hit and miss but think we were all hoping for better this time around.
Getting Anthony back on loan would be ok as a back up out wide like he was last season. Imagine if they announced him today before the game though. The fans would be livid if they saw him as a Georginio replacement.
Agree with this if we’re gonna be keeping Gnoto I see him as decent backup and good enough to push for a place in the team. We need depth so think that would be okay. My worry would be that we then have Gnoto/Anthony for LM, Aaronson/Piroe for CAM and James/Gelhardt for RM and I hope they don’t think that’s strong enough for top 2 because it isn’t. We still don’t even know if Joseph is going to be clinical in this league and just hoping that one works out. We can’t expect Gnoto and Aaronson to get the numbers Summerville and Rutter got.
We need to stop pissing about with Bamford, it’s Joseph or Piroe starting and the other on the bench. Don’t squeeze one into the team out of position, it just ruins them. For years I’ve been sick of the saying “can play” they can play in goal, it doesn’t mean they’re any good. Right player for the right position. Farke must boot up transfer market every week and pick the 11 with the most value, he thinks he’s playing the PC version of football manager
We've sold tens of millions of players and we might be replacing them with Jaidon Anthony! He did nothing last year so why would he be any better this season. He only looks decent because we've got no one left. If they bring him back they're saying **** you to the fans.
They are either struggling to find players or aren't bothering because there is no way you would plan to bring in anyone after 3 games of the new season. Anyone coming in now will be a panic buy imo.
I’m fearing the panic buy approach, which begs the question, why did we not prepare a decent shopping list of players earlier, or did we and the timing and delays mean they’ve long bolted
We’re being linked with Jack Clarke, Sunderland want £25m so I’d imagine £20m would do it. I think if it’s possible, we should go for it.
Nah, don’t go back and too expensive for someone who won’t do it in the PL. But feel like he’s our last option, again something that isn’t ideal.
