Why all the doom and gloom? I was really impressed with Spearing last season. I would be really worried if Lucas had more to his game that we would miss (ie goals and passes on a plate) but we have others for that and just need a good solid CDM and ball winner and I think Spearing has shown he can do that and is still young enough to improve, vastly.
I don't think he's that far off our first team to be honest, he got a few game's for us toward's the end of last season and Kenny seem's to like him, I can't see him getting sold he's a star of the future IMO.
Trust me, he's nowhere near - yet. He's done OK for us, and yes he will be missed. I agree he may come good, but only if he gets pitch time. We'll see if he gets it. Thanks for the loan though.
Getting annoyed with all this doom and gloom. We are not a team of individuals, we are doing well because we are playing as a proper team. Spearing is a good player and will come in and will only get better. Lucas was playing amazing, but he is injured...These things happen, we have to deal with it....I am glad we have a talented young homegrown lad who will give 110% every game to cover Lucas.........Now if this was last season and it was Poulsen who would be coming in i could understand the gloom, but Spearing is a player I love watching as he really is a midfield ferret
