You mean Hinshcliffe who said Firpo got there too late but they arrived at the same time?

I was more impressed with him saying that the ref dealt with the incident sensibly and decided not to book anyone, despite the fact that we had just seen the ref brandish a yellow card and the on screen graphic was stating "yellow card for Firpo".

I sometimes question whether am I watching the same game as the so called "expert commentator"

Agreed, at least we did not concede and lose the game

One club today is skint but have a coach who has been in the play offs for the last 3 seasons. One coach has a wealth of riches but squandering it

Meslier - 6. A decent response after last weekends ****show. Could have caught a couple but overall a pretty quiet afternoon.

Bogle - 6. Stupid booking early on but managed the game well afterwards. Offered width and showed a bit of enthusiasm for at least trying to get forward.

Rodon - 7. Much better from Rodon. Could have directed his headers a little better but a step up from his last two performances.

Struijk - 8. Very strong defensively and worryingly our main goalscoring threat. Man of the match.

Firpo - 6. Caught a couple of times with balls over the top. Gave the ball away alot. Won some important headers in his own box.

Ampadu - 7. Battled hard, tried to get forward but it's really not his game.

Gruev - 6. Far too many backwards passes. He hasn't started this season in form and Rothwell may deserve a start.

Piroe - 4. Easy to paint him as the scapegoat today as he is not Georginio Rutter. He had a couple of really nice touches and turns but ultimately does not possess that creative pass in his game. Gave the ball away alot and made some strange decisions.

James - 5. Strangely subdued. Always does the work and managed to steal the ball an odd time. Another who felt the need to play backwards too often.

Gnonto - 6. Never really got going. Held the ball up slightly better than James to get us up the pitch but did nothing with it.

Joseph - 5. Didn't happen for him either. Fed off scraps but too many heavy touches trying to hold the ball up. Needs to be better.

    Subs.

Aaronson - 5. Offered nothing of note, chased shadows.

Rothwell - 6. Things didn't improve with his introduction. Shouldn't be a key player for us this season.

Bamford - 5. Won a free kick, passed the ball to their keeper. That was about it really. Wasn't any worse or better than Joseph.

Farke - 7. Responded to the goals conceded last week by tightening the system up. A very smart move imo. Losing by a few goals today might have irreparably damaged the whole season. A solid 0-0 at West Brom just settles things down until we hopefully get some more quality in.

Sky hate us. Just seen their “ticker tape” showing Leeds still looking for their first win of the season. They could say Leeds continue their unbeaten start to their league campaign <laugh>

Today was all about not losing. We looked far more tight and organised than in our previous two games. After what's happened this week, I'll settle for the point. I can't see too many clubs even getting a draw at the Hawthorns this season.

The is that don’t think any of the WBA team would make the Leeds line up, yet our boys made to look poor. Just outcoached mate

That was the first time in a long time I've been bored watching us

Ranks up there with an england friendly under Southgate.

    No spark up top.

    No match winner

Needs addressing now or it's another slow start to the season and that cost us last year

Think they're about spot on.. they bullied us off the ball and we gave it away cheaply.

Hard though to identify individual performances when it looks like the man on the ball is always under pressure and has very few options. I think that's largely the manager's choice... full backs not pushing up, Central defenders not bringing the ball out. Midfielders not running past defenders. Creates no options for the ball carrier, makes the whole team look crap in possession. We came for a draw (maybe hoping to nick one) and that's what we got. Still would be good to see us hitting a team mate with a pass and the team mate controlling it occasionally. Sometimes, when you're feeding off scraps it impacts on the whole team as a unit in possession.

We need to start Joseph and stop playing Piroe at 10 then when it’s time to change it, bring Piroe on as the loan striker. Bamford is worse than spent, I had to watch on catch up, when Bamford came on I played it on fast forward

When Gnonto and James are helping out at the back and when they do actually make a break they are double teamed which means a lack of attacking flair. Corberan went with a back 3 and always had extra bodies able to cover LB and RB. Ampadu ended up playing as a CB which left Gruev on his own. We were on the back foot all match and FARKE did nothing about it. Corberan set them up for stopping us and it worked and made us look poor. I dont think Gnonto, James, Joseph and even Aaronson had a chance playing these tactics, however Piroe has no excuse as he was invisible, but hey I think we all know he ain’t a 10

You could argue that Corberan was more worried about us so set up with three at the back. Quite rightly after conceding so many goals we tightened up at the back then we see what we miss with no Summerville/Rutter, no X factor

Just had a look at the match stats, 5 subs for Ipswich and KP left on the bench. Think they’ll find out the hard way unless coached by Bielsa he’s unfit and overweight
