Scum getting played off the park at old toilet. Still 0-0 but Fulham pushing for the win. Ref giving everything to scum to try and help them out. Just waiting for a dodgy penalty to give them a leg up.

    1) Agreed
    2) Thank you
    3) So they are servicing / reducing losses? Awful, but not in a Ridsdale way?
    4) See above, sorry, that’s what you said:emoticon-0148-yes:
    5) Really hoped it wouldn’t be you that pointed out Archie was already here. Completely correct of course but which Director of Football sanctioned his professional contract? Shall we recalculate on that basis?

Sorry Marcos, I'm glad you weren't too surprised that I used the arguments of fact, in my response ;)

Do we give credit to a Director of Football for offering a gifted talented young player a professional football contract, or do we say he would have been even more of an idiot that some consider him to be, if he hadn't

Now of course if all of the coaching staff were saying Vic, this kid is awful, he will never be a footballer, and even lets say a well known ex Leeds legend , such as Eddie Gray, agreed with them, but Vic said, no I can spot talent, so I'm giving him a contract, no matter what you all say, then yes I suppose we could recalculate on that basis.

Then again maybe Vic thought he was **** and only gave him a contract because his dad was one of the youth coaches at the time, and his great uncle was a club legend and it was a cheap option to stop them giving him aggro in his ear all the time about how great their relative is ;)

Do we give credit to a DoF for offering Archie a professional football contract? Dunno, probably not if it doesn’t fit the narrative but it is still a fact that he did :emoticon-0148-yes:

The money we got for Archie Gray wasn't enough to cover JKA.

Now there's always rumours of certain cliques at clubs and surprise surprise, there's one starting to circle now. Now with this one I can see it that the club have started it, to try in the hope enough people will believe it, so to try and take the heat of themselves somewhat.

Sorry Marcos but have to agree with Aski. If Orta hadn’t offered Archie a professional contract then he shouldn’t be in football full stop let alone a DoF.

I’m not disagreeing. Aski pointed out his answers are factual & I was replying that it is a fact. I’ve been tarred with the broad “happy clapper” brush many times which is fine but I find this quite interesting. We are going through the latest cycle of club bashing and Orta is up there with everyone’s favourites to knock so people won’t even begrudgingly praise him for anything. Fact is not only Archie but Summerville and Rutter also signed for Leeds under Orta, that’s over £75 million profit right there.

Am I an Orta fan? No but I can acknowledge when the club gets some things right without considering myself to be a happy clapper. I support Leeds United for fun (weird concept I know) and just get no pleasure from knocking every single thing the club do :emoticon-0148-yes:

I’m afraid Orta’s crap far outweighs his minor successes, there has been a few, Bielsa the most notable, which we are still paying for. As are Middlesbrough when he was their DoF in the premier league and as are his current club where the fans have turned already.
Secondly, I don’t know how young Archie was when he joined the club (did it predate Orta) but a one eyed budgie with a squint would have recognised that he was worth a professional contract.

I’m actually not disagreeing but I won’t budge from not criticising every single thing the club does :emoticon-0148-yes:

Radz and Orta gave us some of the best football seen at ER by appointing Bielsa.

I’m not criticising the club just Orta and the position he’s put the club in.

Counter argument would be that we are the most profitable club in Europe regarding transfers this window.
