Off Topic And Now for Something Completely Different

I have to work in Edinburgh quite often and they don't have chip spice. I never get chips....chips are heaving without chip spice.

When did chip spice become a thing? I don't remember it existing in my childhood/youth up to moving away in 1986.

 

I can eat oven chips just fine....but take away chips just ain't the same without it.

 

I've never had it, what does it taste like?

 

It's more how it makes you feel, like when cutting wrapping paper and the scissors just start to glide. If that helps.

 

It was certainly around then
But only in Yankee burger on Jameson st

 

It originated in the late seventies at Yankee Burger and was simply known as 'extra'. Hence my regular request 'Can I have fries with extra, a bacon egg burger and a Frank the Kraut'. (The greatest ever takeaway meal. FACT).

I can't see chip spice on the menu

 

When they moved to Hessle road flyover they didn't suffer boisterous children in the place
