Bastoni's probably the best CB in the world, I'd be amazed if we could prize him away from Inter much like our failed attempts to get Barella last year.

From what I’ve heard we do have a few other deals lined up - 2/3 loans with obligations to buy (a bit like the Hall transfer) so possibly EH was accurate
Unprofessional is alllowing this Guehi saga to play out in public and amateurish is bending over and taking it, as well as not seemingly being capable of u covering players abroad all of a sudden.
Also if Newcastle get him that's better than walking away and looking small. The haters will say we've overpaid like with all our other signings, but signing a player for 65 million will boil their piss. Pay 100m imo really start turning the screw psychologically.
lol you do realise all the play out in public was done by the Chairman of Crystal Palace then them selecting Guehi himself to do this weeks patter talk with Sky - not one bit of this was Newcastle United so literally no professionalism at all. Who we cover, be it abroad or at home, doesn’t show lack of professionalism at all or ambition. We’ve signed most of our top players from abroad so clearly we are covering them
No of course but in my opinion if the buyer behaves like a dick, walk away. As I said is Guehi literally the only available player on planet earth that’s better than Schar?!
But it goes back to an earlier point that if there’s only two parties how’s a deal played out in public? Anyway it’s all just guesswork I suppose. Just doesn’t make us look good. Oh and as usual we’re entering the new season with Murphy and Almiron on the right. Wonderful.
No but he’s an England international with 10 years left in him. This is a here and now signing and a future signing.
