After a tough start to their 24/25 campaign, fans are eager to see the team regain last season's form. Recent matches against Portsmouth and Middlesbrough have highlighted weaknesses in Daniel Farke's squad, emphasizing the desperate need for new recruits. Daniel Farke is likely to keep faith with the same starting XI that drew against Portsmouth (minus Rutter). Austrian International Max Wober is (apparently) nursing a calf injury, and will not travel (not to West Brom anyway). please log in to view this image Saturday's display was encouraging; if Leeds can cut out individual errors, and be a little more clinical in the final third; they should be able to get something from the game. If they fail to do so, both Farke and his squad are likely to start feeling the pressure! Carlos Corberan's side was one of only a few outfits not to lose to the Whites last season, picking up four out of a possible six points. The history between the clubs suggests a competitive fixture ahead. The baggies hold the edge over their West Yorkshire counterparts five wins to four, and three draws, from their last twelve meetings.
I had this down as a 1-0 defeat for us when I did all my predictions before the start of the season. However with this being Leeds, and with everything going on at present, this will obviously now be WBA 1 - Leeds United 2
Some people are so negative… we Haven’t conceded a goal away from home yet this season. We’ll piss this.
Originally a month but I think he likes it as that was a year ago. Yours is gonna be worse when we hit 5 past West Brom tomorrow.
As we seem to have 2 full backs who's strengths are their forward play, is it time for a change of system, one that would see us hopefully stop conceding stupid goals. .............Darlow.........I know but I'm sick to death of meslier. .........Rodon......Ampadu......Struijk Bogle................................................Firpo ...............Gruev............Rothwell James..................Joseph..............Gnonto
With no Rutter and Darlows performance midday this should be the starting 11. If he goes 4 at the back he should probably consider Byram as one of the full backs to counter the attacking play, two attacking full backs in a 4 man defence is suicide.
I think what Farke is trying to do is drop Ampadu in to a back 3 when the full backs push forward. That sounds great but it leaves a gap in midfield and teams just walk through. The main problem on Wednesday was a lack of movement or pace amongst Aaronson, Bamford and Gelhardt. Midfield had no options and that's why it went side to side and backwards alot. Boro could just squeeze forward and crowd the pitch giving no space for us to work in. Bamford looks shot to pieces. Rothwell actually played well although the midfield was overrun for the most part. Last weekend against Pompey was just 'one of those games' where everything they hit went in. I'm not concerned about that one, I thought we did enough to win that game 5 times over. The big worry I have from Wednesday is the lack of enthusiasm in the side. Nobody seemed bothered. If that's the case then it's more bottom of the league season than top of it. The attitude needs to change today regardless of the result otherwise the season is gone. It's no suprise that a couple of the rats were playing after returning to the club as it looked like the relegation season all over again.
