This isn’t the board mate because it makes no difference who he has, it’s Farke and the way he plays. We cannot beat a parked bus because of the way he wants to attack. What is the point of Bamford? He doesn’t use a No9 be cause he doesn’t give service. Paddy has been shyt for 3 seasons and slow at least Joseph does do a bit of damage without service….. every team knows how to beat Farke and guess what they all do the same thing park the bus and catch us on the break. Loads of possession and can’t break the bus down. Sorry chaos but I said it last season but FARKE is shyt in todays football, even with a quality squad
Sorry, not being argumentative, but everyone keeps saying they’d replace Farke and never suggest a replacement (with the exception of OLOF) so I’m not having he needs to go without a credible name to takeover.
No it’s a good point, we don’t know what coaches on the continent would take it. We don’t know what coach in this division would either, that’s for our behind the scenes guys to earn their money. We can’t give Farke another £15m to spend then sack him between the spend and new year, we at least need to give the kitty to a new guy. We just need a decent coach, someone who can utilise the talent we have.
Darlow - 7. Did what he could. Couple of nervy clearances but overall looked OK. Managed to save some shots on target. Byram - 5. Couple of nice touches. Just not quite at the level required. Rodon - 4. Two poor performances in a row now. Needs to get a grip. Wober - 4. Looked rusty. Some average movement did for hom on more than one occasion. Firpo - 4. Can't defend and now won't defend. Highly unusual performance. Ampadu - 6. Looked rattled and unable to rouse the troops as the performance crumbled. Tried his best to get stuck in. Rothwell - 6. Some really good stuff but difficult to ignore the midfield collapse in the 2nd half. Can't fault his effort levels. Piroe - 4. Always wanted an extra touch. Didn't get many options from the front three. Aaronson - 5. A 'nearly' man. Nearly got past his man. Nearly got a shot off. Nearly found a good pass. Never really achieved anything. Gelhardt - 3. Had a great first 10 minutes. Then looked ****ed. Time to desist with this experiment. Bamford - 2. No movement. Pressed on his own, didn't press when others did, constantly offside so the midfield couldn't pass the ball to him, whinged his way through the game. Didn't hold it up, didn't lay it off. Just a good old fashioned ****show. Subs. Georginio - 7. Hit the post but he needs to realise he can't do it all on his own. Gnonto - 7. Direct, tried to get things going. Struijk - 7. Made a better job at going forward than the starting front three did. Bogle - 7. Gave a really good outlet on the right side. Byram couldn't manage it. Gruev - 6. Sideways stuff with one very good 40 yard ball to Bogle. Farke - 2. Picked no width. Very flat game. No changes at half time. No subs until we were two down. Fans were chanting "what the **** is going on?" at him. Lose the next game and the pressure builds on him. I've yet to work out what switching the full backs over after 20 minutes is supposed to achieve.
Fat Frank and Big Sam are available However how about Nestor El Maestro, knows the English game, as he lived in England since the age of 8. Took Spartak Trnava to their first Slovakian title in 45 years. Was sacked by CSKA Sofia as apparently 45 points from 20 games was not good enough. Did rubbish in the Austrian league as manager of Sturm Graz. Took charge of CSKA Sofia again, who sacked him again after 19 wins and 5 draws in 30 games Plus he had the confidence to change his name from Jevtic to El Maestro, so he's a confident guy Or we could go for the in thing of appointing former Man City coaching staff. Brian Barry Murphy is available, and is sure to be a popular choice with our Irish contingent I'd still take Potter, who I wanted to replace Heckingbottom, all those years ago (so yes I'm living in the past as Jethro Tull once sang ) Of course I've only looked at managers without a job, as we would have to pay compensation for anyone else,
So Farke said after Saturday's game, he got it wrong taking off both wingers. Tonight he.says he was wrong making 8 changes. Fair play for standing up and taking the blame but you can't keep.making mistake after mistake. It's not knee jerk after 2 games, it's how we finished last season too, mistake.after mistake, getting out coached and by rookies coaches too, not adapting our play to counter the doubling up on Summerville, I feel the gamevas passed him by and he's not got it in him to change it. He deserved the 12 months in charge and if we missed out by bad luck last season then he deserved another shot but we didn't and nothings changed
The 49ers backed him after a disastrous run in from Easter. So they backed him and need to sort it out as failure to go up this season means nearly everyone gets sold or we go bust next summer. They made this mess and have recruited a big recruitment team who only seem to flog players and must have a list of players and managers available. Farke has 2 wins in the last 11 games and thats a stat that doesn’t improve things. 6 goals conceded in 2 games at home in front of a packed house, when did that last happen. Heidi said it felt like trouble off the field and maybe the Rutter news has killed the dressing room
