I know a back line of 5 (not all centre backs, thank-you Mick) is old hat but with 3 decent cb's it allows Ng and whoever is left back to push up more, bolster midfield and create a more attacking threat. Looks like Bulut isn't a fan but surely it is better to have and use more options?
Beat me to it Clingo. Kpakio did okay last night but he should have. Marking old man jack barsteward Scott Sinclair. I'm not sure I would throw Kpakio in against the better Championship sides just yet. Another start in next Carabao cup game and perhaps a few sub appearances once we are in control of games. Ng wasn't very good Saturday. I wonder if his head has been turned with offers from elsewhere?
Can't imagine he's the type who would let outside interest effect him. He strikes me as the consummate professional. He also didn't feature too much in ore season games so perhaps just finding his mojo again. The guy has plenty in the bank to allow for a bad game. I got the impression that he was excited at the prospect of playing in the same team as El Ghazi.
Poole people support Bournemouth. Everyone hates the scummers. I'm home if the game is on Tuesday 27th. I'm sure we had a conversation at the game last night about what geographic areas support which clubs. Short memory BT?
We've always pulled lots of support from Poole/Bournemouth traditionally although it'll be far less now with Bournemouth doing well. It's part of the reason Bournemouth seem to dislike us so much while we're just not arsed in the slightest. Bless them. How much did you charge for the first round game out of interest? Tempted by a mid week trip to Wales.
I paid a tenner for my OAP ticket for the first round, although I expect the club will want a few quid more for round two. Interesting that some people of Poole support Southampton. BfB won't like that as he's sure they all support Bournemouth & Boscombe! Enjoy the trip to Cardiff, but not too much! Cheers
Cheers pal. I probably won't bother if it's more than a score as always hope for cheap tickets in this competition. And yeah we've always pulled a lot of support from the Dorset area and I know a few personally from Poole who are STH's. As I say though that'll clearly reduce with Bournemouth's rise in the last 10-15 years and with us actually competing against each other competitively (didn't for 50+ years before our relegation to L1 in '09). Most Saints fans have a bit of a soft spot for Bournemouth and like to see them do well, myself included. If everyone in Bournemouth and Poole supported Bournemouth then they wouldn't have been getting 4 figure attendances up until a decade ago
