LFiH - there is a much repeated rumour that Lord Duckhunter is sticking up for us.

Is that true ? He must have suffered a bang to the head <laugh> :emoticon-0111-blush

Just give us the three points when we meet and we will try to forget all about it.

When will the Government intervene and sort the league/FA out. Who the flippin hell decides this "right and proper" stuff anyway? It's appalling. I'm torn over the points deduction: I think it's a daft rule and can be abused .... see Luton and Bournemouth, but I also think what is right for one is right for another.

If the government intervened we could get kicked out of FIFA, and as bad as Blatter is, that would be a disaster.

There is always the possibility that he is OK and is being stitched up by other agencies, I am not going to judge, other people are paid to do that, and whatever the Football League think, I was against the ten point deduction when it affected us, my opinion hasn't changed now, that would be sheer hypocrisy.

Oh dear Andronikou has made the fatal error of saying that Pompey shouldn't be deducted any points. Thats what Saints said when they were in financial trouble. He has tempted fate big style!

Pompey will get away with it, they always do.

I don't feel sorry for their fans as they enjoyed a FA cup win and Prem status on the back of paying players wages they couldn't afford. The club clocked up massive debts and most disgusting of all, didn't even pay its tax bill and got away with that as well.

So, Pompey fans had their day in the sun and have to take the rough with the smooth, just like any other club.

And before anyone says it, I never once wanted or expected sympathies from other fans when Saints were in the crap. It was our business and thankfully it got sorted and the club took its punishment and has fought back from the brink to where we are now. We maybe lucky having the owner/chairman we do, but I do honestly think that some clubs reflect their situation and it can't be a coincidence that PFC have attracted a succession of dodgy characters, not just recently, but even back in the 70's and 80's too.

I agree the FA and FL are to blame yet again with their pathetic fit and proper persons test.

If Pompey go bust and have to start again from scratch in the non-leagues based upon a fans trust etc, then I would wish them all the very best luck in the world.

However, that won't happen. Yet again, debts will be wiped off and no doubt another mug/crook will appear and buy into the Fratton Circus (or bleed money out of the Fratton Circus).

I think its harsh not to feel for the pompey fans. They had no control over the money Harry Redknapp and Peter Storrie spent on wages. I guess you are suggesting they should have turned their back on the club when they went to Wembley to make a stance that they were over spending. I feel for the fans of any club in trouble as its the fans that are the most passionate about their clubs yet we have no control or say over it destiny, but we often prop the club up with ST and shirt sales etc. It always the case that clubs are never open with the fans.
Even in our current state at Saints, I still feel we are fed propoganda like a political party by the club (like the rest admittedly). Dont get me wrong I love NC, but football in general treats fans with distain IMO. I understand how that works etc with perception being reality and marketting etc, but us fans should stick together as we are the thing that keeps football moving as a business yet we are shut out and helpless on so many occasions.
In Pompeys case they have dodgy owners who have sold to dodgy owner. The cycle has to stop sometime. The administrator must bare some of the responsibility of selling it to the current numpty as must the FL.

I have to agree with CBK.

For the genuine fans that have supported them for years and years, taking their kids to football etc, I feel sorry for those people that worked had all week.

For the teenage yobs (who claim they are the best fans in the land) HAHAHAA!

Being 18 and having attended Havnat College for the last two years I have always put up with the '4-1!' jokes and statements such as 'we're gna f****** beat the scum' and just generally people laughing and not giving a f*** when we had problems! Could not care less about them!

"One Peter Storrie, there's only one Peter Storrie"

If any single song summed up how thick football fans can be, it's that one. Yes, I'm picking on Pompey and yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing, but even before all the ****e hit the fan, Storrie's way of working was well known, only had to see what he did at West Ham, so for some Pompey fans to have fawned over him, must be very embarrassing for them.

Although I do have respect for that lone PFC fan who fronted up to Storrie in the Fratton car park

Not certain, as previous owner is expected to come back on the scene as he still has outstanding debt on club. PFC may be able to distance themselves from CSI.

I can't comment on this thread otherwise I am banned like for ever and ever although I am sure you all know my thoughts.

Like me pompey cannot keep bucking the system otherwise they'll get kicked out too!

The question then is who deserves to be kicked out?

Me for telling the truth or PFC for the way their club has been mismanaged?

This could be my swan song so cheerio in anticipation I shall be banned from this site for ever and always.

So long it has been nice to know some of you.

I am off out of the country for a few days and it will be interesting to see the news when I get back.
