    Eticket holders - BEWARE !
    https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/season-ticket-update

The link talks about the need to redownload your eticket - the original eticket WON'T work at turnstiles.

To avoid the obvious chaos at turnstiles, the Club have hidden the above information ! ....I was hoping that (mal)administration had been retired with Mr. Scally

If you hear any swearing.... it'll be me !
So - the Postman has not delivered my season ticket card today !
Tomorrow, I will have to leave for Priestfield long before Postie arrives (( probably without the damned card.))---- So - what do you think will happen at the turnstile ? (( I have email proof of purchase. )) The turnstile operative will probably refer me to the Main ticket office - - well - that should provide some entertainment as I stand my ground.......although I expect to be behind hundreds of STH with the 'wrong' eticket !!!

It looks like that GFC have failed (again) - to provide a hassle-free booking system....why is it so difficult ? why change the system after the issue of around 4000 STs - when ( I suspect ) many will not be aware of the need to redownload their etickets - and then there's me (( and probably loads of others ), who haven't got their cards --- GFC have had my money for many weeks - what was to stop them from immediately printing ticket cards ? -- the answer ; incompetence and contempt for fans once they have your money.

Have GFC not heard of email ?
I have just been told by my sons that they have redownloaded...etc (( only because I had alerted them. ))

The most simple thing to do - to avoid what I expect will be madness at the turnstiles, is for GFC to have sent an email to all STH and buyers of etickets ....their incompetence beggars belief!

So you didn't tell us what happened when you arrived for the game. Were you denied entry? Were you moved to the directors box to sit next to Mr Scally? Were you the one responsible for the poor camera work from the Gordon Road stand?

Actually, there was little drama....My QR code wouldn't scan first or second time - ( nothing new .)...I like my new seat - slightly elevated and in the Gold section..... which my sons and I selected with an exit strategy in mind i.e. a quick getaway -- which is what we achieved - instead of being hampered by so many people just fart-arsing around - forcing us to climb over several rows to circumnavigate.

You mention camera-work --- does that mean you watched it on telly ? - surely Sky will have some control over 'quality.'

No I was in the Upper Medway Stand for the match but I know @brb watched it on the new Sky Sports+ service and saw plenty of people complaining about the camera work on the Gills Vital forum.

    In short, it was crap.

The camera angles/distance were awful, and the female commentator was nowt but dreadful, so much so I turned the commentary off - come back Peter Lloyd please.

For the Swansea game the commentary was way better, so not sure if this is going to be pot luck on who you get on the day.

It's free (well it's not really) and is better than having to pay £10 a game (Ifollow), and when Gills are not being screened you can watch a L2 opposition game as one of your many alternative choices - so overall I'll just suck it up amd accept small mercies.

Upper Medway, is that where the Chairman and others sit, what's it like up there?

It's the only part of the ground I've never been in.

I remember a time when you were anti-Sky. What happened <laugh>.

To answer your other question, yeah its a good view from Upper Medway. I was in the block directly above your old STH block and you do get a good view of most of the pitch. Less risk of being tonked by a wayward clearance there too lol.

    Getting older happened mate. <laugh>

At the moment I got as decent deal £17.99 through Now TV, think the normal price is well over £30 (£34 I think) - my deal ends the end of September - hoping they will do me another deal, well put another way I will be trying it on to ensure I get one.

Will not be as good as the deal I currently have, but if I was paying £10 everytime for Ifollow as well as something like an extra £4.49 a month for access to all content, it gives me a bit to play around with.

Re the stand, yeah quite like the idea of being higher up, do you still get blasted by the sun up there or is there some shade?

Very much in the shade as your fortunate enough to be that much closer to the roof.

Sounds perfect - that was always the main problem with the Medway Stand Lower, you get full sun and as well as it being in your eyes, you came away burnt to a cinder.
