Just as long as we sort the wheat from the chaff at the border crossing (M62-A63) dont want any riff raff comin in.
This is what annoys me. The Beverley attitude is proper snobby, even if it isn't that much different. There are much posher places around the East Riding but Beverley seems to be the hotbed for people who want to be seen as posh and talk about it all the time.
It's a reasonably nice town, obviously smaller than Hull but apart from that I don't see a difference. There are just as many chavvy schoolkids per square mile as in Hull, or anywhere else for that matter. I guess it's a bit less foreign in Beverley which is entirely down to it not being a City as Hull is, but that isn't really a problem either. If you think it is so much different (and better) it's probably for you to explain why.
Beverley is a WELL ROUGH night out. You see more violence there than you ever will in Hull, and I have no allegiance cos I live in Leeds. Obviously the response is now going to be that this is caused by people from Hull, but that is as nonsensical as the arguments that all rugby violence is caused by City fans.
The difference between Beverley and Hull, is that Beverley begins with a B. There's no other difference.
One's a large city which people have heard of and visit, the other is an insignificant posho's paradise with a racecourse.
That big squaddie driving school up the road doesn't help and some of the Cherry Tree estate is rough as arses.
Ive been all over the world and seen some beautiful Cities. I love Hull, but im afraid it is a sh1thole.
The problem I have with Beverley is the attitude of some of the people living here, the place is nice enough, I live close enough to the Cherry Tree Estate and can't say it bothers me too much compared to being in some of the rougher places in Hull. Also it's diabolical for a night out and the choice of beers everywhere bar a few places is terrible for a so called upmarket town and overpriced with it. Hull is a more cosmopolitan and open-minded place, apart from a few places which you get everywhere.
