Dark Matter on Apple was really good. A thriller about the multiverse. I really enjoyed The Turkish Detective on iPlayer too. Pretty familiar police/detective type show but set in Istanbul which adds a new dimension.
Watched Bloodline on Netflix. First 2 seasons were reasonably good but season 3 they looked like they missed nits and tried to end it then changed their minds leaving an opening for season 4. Pissed me off
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Watched this yesterday. Thoroughly entertaining. Same type of patter as the series The Gentlemen. Guy Ritchie the producer.
Netflix? I rather enjoyed his last one, and Vinnie Jones is a natural, even though he might be typecast.
Just watched all of Killing Eve. I watched the first series after it was out and never got back into it until.a week or two ago. I have just watched them all and though it was brilliant and sometimes was very funny! Jodie Cromer is brilliant as Villenelle.
Starting to waver a bit with The Bear, watched the Computer episode tonight and thought it was easily the worst of the whole show. Could barely hear what John Cena and his buddies were saying so that all fell flat. Something about haunting, made no sense to me. The concept of a new menu every day was always truly idiotic and unrealistic, shouldn't have taken until now for it to be properly addressed. It's still interesting but it feels like this series is treading water.
I'm currently dropping in and out of 'Barry'. Great cast, intriguing locations, dark comedy and lots of action ... ... absolutely no idea what's going but I can't stop watching it
Barry is brilliant, dark humour, tongue in cheek, surreal comedy. Watching both The Boys season 4 (Dragging on a bit) and The Umbrella Academy (Again, might have been left alone) I'm on episode 3 of both.
I was late to the party and watched Friday Night Dinner recently. There was 6 series and honestly each episode followed the same formula. But it didn't stop me enjoying it and watching all 6 series back to back. Got a feeling I'd be in the minority on here with that one! Also watched Manhunt on itv x which was based in the true story of how they caught the bloke who killed Millie Dowler. There is a second series aswell cause the main detective in it also was in charge when they caught the night crawler. Both series worth a watch.
Has anyone watched Yellowstone, with Kevin Costner starring. It looks great and the reviews iMDB etc are great but would prefer some opinion from on here
One of the best TV shows I've ever watched. The story, acting, location and the music is pretty faultless.
Hello Jacqui... Friday Night Dinner is a proper no frills, easy to watch comedy series. Gutted the dad passed away as think they may have done more.
He was very good in it aswell "lovely bit of squirrel'. Most people prefer Jim and although he was probably funniest I liked the Dads character more as he was mad but still on the believable side of normal! I reckon they would have done some more. Sounded like the writer was happy to keep going and not like the actors are doing other projects left and right is it?
