No reason why can't. There is every chance we can. Doesn't mean we definitely will he's just saying it's perfectly feasible. Neither of those sides are better that us.
You could say that for pretty much anyone though really, I know it's not suggesting we definitely will, but the phrase 'no reason we can't' always suggests to me that it's very likely. I think Birmingham have been very underrated this season, they've been in the Europa League and have a couple of games in hand, which could easily fire them into the playoffs.
Exactly. Besides, apart from there being no Reason in results in this league, anyone who imagines there is any Reason in football at all has a fundamental misunderstanding of what it's all about!
What worries me is we are only 7 points above the relegation zone now. I think we'll be OK but still its a bit close.

I think he based it on us having one of the best squads in the league and the fact that we play some of the best football out of any team. In those 4 games we've lost we completely outplayed the opposition in 3 of them (including West Ham who's team is probably better than yours) and were very unlucky at Southampton. We've also had half our team out injured over that period. Now bugger off.
