Funnily enough mate, wandered around near there at lunchtime today - hasn't put the tourists off - but noticeably more police around and in 4s and 5s not just 1s and 2s ... This particular case throws up all sorts of questions - was he an illegal? - was this some mad scheme to get him 'indefinite board and lodging'? - any cultural / religious connotations? - racial hatred of some sort? - purely nut-job? No matter what or which - lock-up and throw away key ... Duncan Nonuts on GC puts it purely down to the perpetrator being a Roma ... and that the Romas origination can be traced back over centuries to India... so this guy is really just another, to paraphrase, 'stabby brown man' - I wish I was kidding
Tbph probably much like yourself, it's just that question why....why single out a defenceless little girl, who was just but a tourist herself. Really makes me angry something like that, because he's selected an innocent little child and maimed her for life. Also makes me question whether the coppers should be checking any homeless for weapons/knives during their daily stroll - id happily be searched time and time again if it got knives off our street.
Me too mate ... I'd also have those portal metal detectors installed at schools, particularly secondary schools ... yes there's a cost to all of it, but that's a much better use of our taxes than for some things I could name ...
When you think about it every knife incident costs us, the initial emergency responses, extra policing in an area, the cost of taking it to court, the cost of now keeping that individual behind bars, and the cost of NHS treatment to help the injured such as this child, and some of this NHS care could be a life long cost. So the cost of prevention has to far outweigh the cost of aparatus required to stamp it out - and as that aparatus reduces the carrying of knives, the cost will be reaped back longer term.
The working class toilet scum never change through the years. It's nice seeing the females being banged up....they tend to get away with things. Lock them up and throw away the key imo! really stamp this lot out.
