The current staff at ITTV obviously know their place. As far as I'm aware the last mod they had there who could think for himself was... me But my information may be out of date. I haven't looked in since leaving in February 2023, so apologies to anyone present here who has done a stint as a mod on ITTV since that time. Is Valleyfaithful still on the staff there? He seemed like a reasonable chap...
The shelf stacker has not denied he sent the post He's then tried to justify his actions then deleted the post, an old stunt.
I was reading with interest the exchange. Hats off to him getting voluntary scout even more stressed than I did. I remember liking his posts at the time
As @ElfsborgAddick says, it’s a familiar Global Moderator trick. Everyone knows it was him sending the DMs. He had to say something, so he quickly admits it, has a slightly barmy rant in the process, then quickly deletes it. He is a Club Insider now, so can’t get away with his Hulk Hogan routine any longer. Let’s hope his bestie Charlie didn’t see his little rant. You can just imagine the scene later, during their nightly debrief. “Now listen here Paul old chap, before I give you an exclusive on our latest transfer target, what’s all this about McDonalds and Pavarotti earlier today?”
Man-splainer extraordinaire Mundell is explaining again why, in his opinion, the club should not invest any transfer sell on money in new players. Apparently, this would be reckless. What I have never understood about this low energy, low ambition viewpoint is this. It’s as if, for folk like Mundell, sitting in a three quarters empty West Stand with his rattle and his Bovril, football exists in a bubble. Charlton loses £800,000 a month every month we stay in Division 3. We have bad players and decreasing attendances as a result of this. There was barely 11,000 bums on seats in the Valley on Saturday, including 2,000 Orient. Slowly slowly catchy monkey as favoured by Mundell and Charles Hawtrey etc has now been tried for much of the last 4-5 years, with almost disastrous consequences for the club. Birmingham & Huddersfield are going to piss Division 3 for a reason this season, and their fans will have a lot of fun and excitement along the way. Only the geekiest, nerdiest of fans get any fun and excitement out of Xg and Squarka and FFP. We need to spend big to get out of this poxy league.
I would invite (subject to the approval of the moderator(s) members of the Into my Vanity site to post on here. I really am baffled by the attitude of some fans and if they are really committed to their views, or as I suspect seeking favour with the moderator. Let’s have them debated on here. Obviously I would challenge their views over there but like most posters have been banned. So come on and let’s have a real debate!
I am happy to have any Charlton posters on here. I don’t care what Forum they post on. I have never understood the fact that I am disloyal if you post on another forum. The more the merrier.
There's the crux of the matter. Loyalty to ITTV trumps loyalty to Charlton Athletic every time on that forum. To elevate forum loyalty so far above Club loyalty that life-long Charlton fans are banned from ITTV simply for making one or two posts on other CAFC fans' forums exposes ITTV for what it really is. A personality cult masquerading as a football forum.
It’s not loyalty to a forum - it’s one individual who sees membership of ITTV as akin to personal loyalty to him. I too don’t get the defeatism & low ambition of certain prominent posters on there. CAFC does not exist as a reason to give you a couple of hours away from the wife’s nagging on a Saturday afternoon- it is supposed to be an ambitious and competitive football club, hellbent on quickly getting promoted.
There seems to be a collective fear of most of the posters on ITTV of saying anything that is contradictory to what the Global Moderator posts. That forum is run on fear and bullying. The final straw was the thread started by Reams on CLs bullying. I don’t think irony is in his vocabulary. I had to leave after that as the double standards are laughable.
Mundell & Seriously Repetitive both hate being challenged, they are the two that most need calling out, but zero chance of either joining here I am afraid. Mundell exists in a Grapevine- like world of self satisfaction, and dear old Charles Hawtrey is just a WUM.
They are there to deflect or articulate what “il capo” is trying to say, particularly when it gets heated and he starts tripping over himself or gets abusive. I imagine they feel fuzzy inside after once again throwing the rope ladder down the massive hole that the boss had dug for himself and dragged him to safety. Big yawning articulate essays can scare off the weakest. Andy Addick can say more in 1 sentence and occasionally in 1 word. Mundell could learn from that.
