Been away for the weekend but caught the match in a pub, I’m going to watch it again tonight because I get distracted in a pub. From what I picked up Jobe was class as was Browne, we look so much better with Cirkin in the team and Robert’s looks that yard quicker. Brilliant result !
Queuing at the ticket office for my tickets for Sunday, lad behind me slating Mayenda for his “miss”. “Miss of the season” he said. Easy chance apparently. Then his mate said, in a sarcastic voice “nobody ever missed those chances in the 60s and 70s”. Proper bite from the lad. My guess is he’s “one of them”!!
To be fair it probably was "Miss of the season". In all the competitive games we have played so far this season it probably was the worst miss. Doubt it will be in May though.
Nope. Leeds last minute v Pompey was worse. There was a couple in League Two that were horrendous too, can’t quite remember who.
It wasn't even 'miss of the game'. Ramsey was six yards out and only needed to make some kind of contact ... ... he fell over and the ball trickled back to Patterson who just picked it up. The Cardiff keeper had to make a good save against Mayenda whose shot was on target.
This is why the Sunderland branches do such a great job, just had this message. "We left Newcastle on Friday night at 18:29 but the train terminated at Doncaster due to overhead line issues at Stevenage. Within 5 minutes one of the managers from LNER rang me and gave me our options. A) return to Newcastle and try again on Saturday morning, B) blank cheque to book into hotels for the night, C) taxis sorted for us from Doncaster to Swindon which we obviously took (£400 per taxi)." I tried to book a train for Sunday and there weren't any, the website says all the drivers are on holiday. So I'm on the 6.20 bus to Edinburgh and will work it out from there
If your gonna be around the Morpeth area around 10 or Alnwick around half 9 let me know. I know you won't know till Sunday morning but no probs on my side. I'll check in on here or PM me and I'll give you my number if your gonna be struggling.
Cheers mate, just looking at trains now but will keep you posted. I was going to drive but I fancy a drink with it being the first game ... ... I must be mad, I've just renewed my Sky contract
Thanks for the offers lads, just got a train to Sunderland ... ... doesn't give me a lot of time pre-match but I can have a drink after
1.2 goals prevented, highest of the weekend. 100% save percentage. 22/34 accurate passes (65%), 7/19 accurate long passes (37%), both pretty good in comparison to rest of league.
