It's the fact that at Brighton he'll be playing for a 7-10th placed side and competing with a couple of very good RW players. At Newcastle he'd be playing for a 5-7th placed side competing with... well the RW spot would be his wouldn't it.
Undav and Gross are losses for them, the latter in particular. When you combine it with Caicedo and Macallister leaving last year the heart of their midfield has gone in the space of 12 months. They have a tendency to make it all work out but more wingers are not what they need really, there's going to be a lot of reliance on Matts Wieffer to hit the ground running in the center and I'll be honest I know nothing about him. Seems to me they are looking a bit lopsided but if there's any teams scouting and set-up I shouldn't be questioning I guess it's them.
I thought we were way off it last year, with the worst injury crisis known to man. We didn't do too badly.
I put Newcastle in the 7th to 10th group... it doesn't mean they can't finish 5th but that's the same for Villa, West Ham and Brighton... there's a big gulf between Newcastle and the big 6.
This entirely. We were shafted every which way last year with horrible draws in cups, extra games, horrific injury lists and we still only just missed out on 6th spot by a whisker. With other teams balancing Europe and us not then I think 6th is the minimum target. I also think it's where we'll get to and not above but we shall see.
I've seen a few Newcastle fans thinking they'll finish top 4, but they are completely controlled by their black and white goggles. It's not likely.
Not really. I don't think Man Utd are any better than us, likewise I don't think Spurs are any better than us. Man City - Yes Arsenal - Possibly Liverpool - ???? Man Utd - Nope Spurs - Nope Chelsea - Nope
