They only signed one player this summer, just a guess but maybe the relationship was deteriorating over transfers.
...and now their manager has left after 1 game this season. If it was us, some on here and RTG would suggest that the club was in turmoil and there for the taking. Let's ****in' take them!

Preston North End have confirmed that they have parted company with manager Ryan Lowe. Sunderland’s EFL Cup first round opponents Preston North End have announced the departure of manager Ryan Lowe. The Black Cats travel to Deepdale on Tuesday evening, but will now face a side overseen by caretaker boss Mike Marsh, accompanied by Peter Murphy and Ched Evans. Lowe’s exit comes just one game into the new Championship season. Preston lost their 2024/24 curtain-raiser 2-0 against newly-relegated Sheffield United on Friday evening. He's the second manager to be sacked after the first gamne of the season, Raith Rovers sacked Ian Murrey after their first games defeat.

Sounds like wholesale changes then. With that in mind I'd go: Moore Johnson O'Nien Triantis Hjelde Rigg Ekwah Mundle Aouchiche Bennette Rusyn Subs: Patto, Hume, Alese, Browne, Hemir, Poveda, Jobe, Watson, Mayenda
Where did you read that? It might be on the local radio but I didn’t see the audio available on the SAFC live site.
