Well I thought we would lose this 3-0, so not so bad, but Borough should have had at least 3, we are continuing from last seasons mediocrity, thought the Korean was quality, Grimes was solid, Franco was quality also, keeper not so sure.
Got to be honest I am fed up of taking 19 year olds in loan. They never work and it just stunts our own youngsters. Plus another injury prone player just what we need.
Some 19 year old's are old beyond their years. Some 30/40 year old's behave like 19 year olds', or less. The Swans' have had some excellent young loanees down the years, Tammy Abraham, Gibbs White, Conor Gallagher, Rhian Brewster, plus others whose names now elude me. Injuries are just a tackle away, and all players are prone to them, not just 19 year old's. His parent Club, Liverpool, rate him VERY highly, and that should be an end to the discussion.
You omitted arguably the best of the lot - Guehi However, amongst others: Bashir Humphreys was highly rated by Chelsea Rhys Williams was highly rated by Liverpool Armstrong Oko-Flex was highly rated by West Ham Charles Sagoe Jnr was highly rated by Arsenal Harrison Ashby was highly rated by Newcastle Charlie Patino was highly rated by Arsenal None ripped up too many trees playing for the Swans …. discussion far from over
Guehi was on the tip of my tongue. He was one of the names that eluded me. All the young players I named, plus Guehi, have motored on in their careers, thanks to time spent at Swansea. The others may yet flourish. No guarantee that ANY loanees will come good.
One now and then does work, but very few do. I thought guehi and of course Rushworth were great, struggling to think of any others who made and impact, unless you want to go back to Leon Britton
