We havent spent anything on transfer fees, we have spent money on wages (new contracts for Rigg n Ballard - hearing Neil will sign one as well plus browne n poveda will be on decent wages)

I agree we need to spend some money on the right players

We spent plenty last yr, we spent some of the stewart money then - we just didnt spend it wisely

Comparing our spending to teams like boro n coventry is pointless when they sold multiple players for big fees over the last yr or 2

Coventry and Boro weren’t in League One with zero income for TV for multiple years, and didn’t have to spend millions bringing the facilities back up to scratch.

Both also had huge sales last season. Gyokeres went from Coventry and Boro sold that kid to Villa.

It was a bigger loss than the majority of championship sides.

We have to sell to compete, the days of owner funded clubs are over.

Sold out every game would give us about £22million mate.

Wage bill is half that, that’s playing staff only not all clubs staff.

Stadium, policing and energy costs, conservatively £2-3million.

Then there’s the running of the academy, the stadium and pitch upgrades, signing on fees.

Crowds don’t pay for clubs, hence why in Germany tickets are cheap.

Bayern famously put out a statement that if they tripled the cost of tickets ‘that money wouldn’t even impact our financials, so why punish the fans’.

We have massively increased commercial deals but we won’t see that money this season, the club have brought in top class people in commercial roles to maximise this going forward.

Just as a side note, we don’t sell out any game so you gotta drop 20% of that top end figure straight out the gate.
